Talk radio utilizes....all the time....what are called relevance fallacies....in fact much if not most of their argumentation as it pertains to defending President Trump purposely misdirects the focus. For instance....those of us who voted for Donald Trump....and then celebrated....but who now after two and a half years of the President's constant lying......as easily and naturally as he breathes....and serious narcissism issues that may be a genuine mental disorder....along with constant aggressive and threatening rhetoric that is meant to keep his followers in a state of permanent agitation....want him to withdraw from the race for a second term....but talk radio rarely mentions us as conservatives....rather describing us all the time all as Never-Trumpers who just don't like the coarseness of his speech....or the indelicate way he puts things....or his grammar or his language. They would make a winning argument if that were the case....but it isn't the case. We are concerned with mental health issues....genuine ineptitude at times....rash comments that have to be corrected by his staff....thus demonstrating an undisciplined mind....a very worrisome habit of attacking anyone who has the audacity to criticize him....verbal and otherwise....and a risky tunnel-vision on domestic and world issues where he sees only dollar signs.

I returned today from a road trip of a couple hundred miles and received a few 'thumbs up' signals for my bumper sticker.....'TRUMP...4...YEARS ONLY....FROM A CONSERVATIVE.' We are out here....just waiting for a conservative challenger to the President who will tell the President's base what talk radio will not tell them. They won't touch this topic on talk radio....for they know that the only way President Trump retains his support is if we are kept in the dark as to what actually transpired....and who Donald Trump actually is.

Robert Mueller appeared before Congress knowing that the questioning would be difficult. President Trump refused to be interviewed by the Special Counsel....knowing the questions would be difficult. All those around the President knew very well that he could not be interviewed in person without lying somewhere in that interview. The result of it all? Mueller was ridiculed while Trump laughed his way through it all. Conservatives....you are building a tyrant.

The so-called conservative talk radio shows that I listened to today savaged Robert Mueller with ridicule....and sneered like drunken gangbangers as they did it. Apparently there is no room today for someone who might actually think before he speaks. I could hardly understand the words let alone the questions that the first hostile questioner started the hearings off with and therefore set the tone for the entire hearing. Mueller was decorated in Vietnam for saving the life of a fellow marine under fire....and decorated another time with a Purple Heart. At least he wasn't captured by the enemy because Donald Trump really doesn't like those guys does he. In a sane world people would have complemented him for holding back opinion in his report. Considering how President Trump blatantly and publicly worked on witnesses through his tweets and backroom pressuring....it's amazing that Mueller did not come out and call it obstruction of justice.

I remember what it was like as an eighteen year old to listen with rapt attention to Robert F. Kennedy speak. When today I think of his name....the picture that comes to mind is of him standing....above everyone else....in a car possibly....what I remember of it is his being totally engulfed by black faces and outstretched arms....his sleeves rolled up on his white shirt. Love was in the air. I Know....I lived it. There were many similar photos where the crowds were white or mixed. I watched....on tape tonight....most of President Trump's speech to the young people at Turning Point USA....here with the outstretched arms pointing the camera end of their phones. Whatever this was....it was not the same thing. There was adoration in the air. Aside from references to the youth themselves it was practically identical to the typical Trump rally.....Rolling Stones and all. Kennedy's emphasis was on 'other' people....what we could do for people in need. Looking back....I was one of those in need....but my thoughts were on others....never even contemplating what I could get or become out of it. Today the emphasis is on ourselves.....it may use statistics implying that the focus is on others.....but that focus is really on us....how we can become great.

It is time for John Bolton and Mike Pompeo and others to search their conscience on whether or not they are ignoring danger signs of a severe psychological disorder....but they think that they can keep under control....and apart from real decision-making....President Trump's disruptive and inciting attack tweets....impetuous and adolescent tantrums and narcissistic rants.

Donald Trump is a destroyer. He destroys people....(enemies on purpose....all who refuse to bow down to him....and others who simply fly too close to his flame.) He destroys ideas and whole movements. He has no conscience or compassion. Conservatism is dead. Talk radio is dead. Evangelicalism has shifted their focus from Christ onto a genuine biblical false prophet....all this while the now President Trump tweets and blathers what should easily with common sense and in light of ethical considerations be recognized for what it is....but then common sense and ethics are dead also.

The Freedom Caucus has now officially come out against the budget deal that will be coming up for a vote. (It's too late guys....and gals....all 31 or so of you....you have lost credibility....have you forgotten how in March of 2017....after coming out against Trump's Obamacare Lite bill....that he threatened to work against you in the 2018 elections....you are attempting to squash the Mueller report....but President Trump would swat you like a gnat if he had a chance.

As for Mark Levin....who I had often posted positively on over the years....recommending his excellent books....he began his show today hammering Congress for this new budget deal that continues to add to the tonnage of the national debt bomb that will eventually get us....but he left Trump out of it....which I knew that he would. I wonder if he ever even heard the story of how President Trump's economic advisers once early on sat him down with charts and graphs and told him how the debt bomb should explode just about the time that he....President Trump....would be ending his second term? What was the President's response? "Yeah, but I won't be here." I've repeated this anecdote before....and always end it with....'there's your champion!'

Anyone who had read deep into Donald Trump's dealings with the Russian government and Russian oligarchs....in various ways....over many decades.....and then was apprised of how Vladimir Putin's people worked so hard to get Donald Trump elected....might then see why some people in the FBI and CIA might bend some rules to investigate candidate Trump's actions.....but we don't read any of those books do we?

The problem still remains that a coverup is in progress. One question that I would have had today to Mr.Mueller would have been when if ever this redacted information in the Mueller probe will be set for release? The present Attorney General has effectively shut down all avenues in the investigation. Watergate was nothing compared to this.

I don't know if they are conspiring with one another but China/North Korea and Iran/ Hezbolah et al may act in tandem if a war breaks out in either area. If America has two fronts to deal with in a major conflagration then the draft will be instituted. Folks....imagine for a moment the problems with a draft today as to gender issues and illegal immigration and a divided country and a pool for conscription from today's culture. I guarantee you this....China and Russia know more about our potential problems than we do.

Evening Ruminations

            God's Word in Proverbs tells us that if we seek wisdom and understanding with all our heart....and value it more than gold and silver.....then God will grant it to us. The question therefore that we should ask ourselves revolves around what....'with all our heart'....entails? I want to consider in this post this concept of wisdom and understanding....specifically as it relates to the level of difficulty that this world and America are in. In other words....some might say something like....'the problems are immense with serious consequences if we do not find the answers.' Others...such as myself....would elevate the problems and particularly the consequences exponentially. In other words extraordinary catastrophes are just ahead of us....there are no answers beyond possibly delaying the consequences for only a short time. That's my secular response anyway as a more accurate description would be biblical in that God is judging this world and America....thus tribulation....Revelation's Tribulation....is near if it has not already started.
            It's my contention that Proverbs in the first eight or so chapters is alluding.....more than alluding but veiled right now....to biblical prophesy more than helpful hints on living this life of ours. So which might be more correct....the former assessment that these are just the latest of difficult situations the world has always experienced....or the latter where God is finally bringing all things to a conclusion?
            I think that the latter is the wisdom and the understanding that Proverbs is speaking to. If that is the case....or even if the first scenario is the case....wisdom and understanding depends on how much we really desire it.....as opposed to fooling ourselves while desiring and formulating our own verdicts and prescriptions. What percentage of time is spent on meditating on God's Word as opposed to time spent on enjoyments and even hard work for honorable goals? Are we using any introspection and displaying any humility....or is there no self-examination....only prideful peripheral contemplation given?
            No one can answer these questions for anyone else. We all have to choose what woman's invitation we will respond to....the one who beckons us on the streets....that one leading to death....or the one who offers wisdom....both of these described in those chapters of Proverbs? Joshua famously and wonderfully declared...."And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve, whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. (Joshua 24:15) That choice is also ours today. We need wisdom and understanding to make such a decision. Just how....and to what extent....and with how much sincerity and honesty....are we seeking that wisdom and understanding?

Donald Trump And Carl Jung.....'Truth Is A Force OF Nature'

The following post is only a week or so old but I'm bringing it back to the top because of President Trump's tweet immediately following the Mueller hearing...."TRUTH IS A FORCE OF NATURE!" In a cursory search of Jung quotes....this came up...."It is the truth, a force of nature that expresses itself through me- I can imagine in many instances where I would become sinister to you"....and he used other analogies with the term 'force of nature."Under the circumstances it might behoove Christians to ponder Carl Jung's influence on Donald Trump. Carl Jung Wikiquotes might be a good place to start. As for the Mueller hearings two days ago....our wisdom is gone as is our discernment. We on our side have reverted to the methods of the dark side as we 'Borked' Robert Mueller....a man who was an Oliver North or a Jim Webb in Vietnam while Donald Trump once said that dating in the 1990s was his 'personal Vietnam' in attempting to avoid STDs. Why Vets support this man so much is a mystery to me.

          Thinking back on the psychology curriculum in college.....for me this was back in the early 1970s....it seemed to say to us to look over the smorgasbord of theories of all these men and maybe you will see one that you want to attach yourself to....Skinner....Maslow....Adler....Fromm....and Wilhelm Reich....(there was some wild stuff)....of course Freud. I kind of liked Erich Fromm....The Art Of Loving.....then again I didn't have the brains of a Popsicle back then.....relatively speaking.
          There was one though that intrigued me a little more than the others.....Swiss psychologist, psychiatrist and psychoanalyst Carl Jung. There was some dark stuff here....and of course I thought that dark stuff meant interesting stuff. Fortunately psychology wasn't my major so I didn't have to study any further about any of these folks.
          So how does Donald Trump enter into this.....he seems to dominate most of my posts that are not of a Christian nature....and even many that are of a Christian nature? Everyone who reads knows that Donald Trump is not a reader. He did list his favorite books during the campaign and it seemed obvious that someone helped him out with it. He mentioned Machiavelli....and I can believe that. He probably read it as the gang from The Big Bang Theory read their superhero comic books....and I would be real surprised if he didn't back then almost memorize his mentor Norman Vincent Peale's The Power of Positive Thinking....but apparently he had another mentor of sorts.....as a few of the books written about Trump reference him....Carl Jung. Donald Trump was where I was.....only he became somewhat fascinated by Jung.....who called the Christian religion...."systematic blindness'....as he was heavily into the occult and Gnosticism. Here is but one quote of Jung's....."The pendulum of the mind oscillates between sense and nonsense, not between right and wrong."
           Folks....I'm not saying that Donald Trump is a disciple of Carl Jung....rather that these three men....Machiavelli, Peale and Jung....probably in that order....helped form who Donald Trump became. It may not be something to dwell upon but it's also not something to be ignored....especially by Christians. (in light of the tweet mentioned above....I would have to raise the level of concern)
           If you are interested in learning more about the influence that Carl Jung had on the America of my....and Donald Trump's generation.....you can easily Google some lectures by the British theologian and cultural commentator Peter Jones....oddly a childhood friend of the Beatles John Lennon....whose books I have read over many decades. R. C. Sproul once wrote that "All truth is God's truth." When our son was in high school I read along with him all the classic books that were assigned. So I read The Prince and Siddhartha and other such books. Donald Trump had absolutely no help or guidance in this area. We Christians have a wonderful trove of helps that can keep us busy every day. Listen to some sermons by Iain Murray for strength and wisdom on what we are experiencing in the world today.....and of course Martyn Lloyd-Jones is great edification.....as is Sproul's Ligonier Ministries....ligonier.org.

Note: Memories, Dreams, Reflections by Jung and an associate showed up in one of Donald Trump's books. My guess is that the ghostwriter asked him.....'what authors do you like'.....and then ran with it.....at least I hope that's what happened. (Update: Maybe not)
           

Who Bears More Of The Blame.....The Pastor....Or The Congregation

           So about nine or ten hours from now....and hours afterwards as the time zone comes into play....pastors will enter their pulpits. Most will have heard how our President casually used the word godd*m in his North Carolina rally....twice. I wonder what the Vice President thought about it....and Franklin Graham....and Jonathan Cahn....(I don't think that Jehu would do that)....and the Texas mega-church pastor who has taken it upon himself to be President Trump's primary defender from America's clergy?
           We had visitors yesterday.....family that had moved away years ago and who were back for a visit. They related how their old church back here was way down in attendance as so many had moved to a new modern church with a big screen and plenty of vibrant music. I have a different family member who moved from a sound biblical church to a less biblical church because of the music....and I have another family member who did the opposite.
           Is this weak preaching that has come to symbolize evangelicalism today the fault of the pastor....or the congregations? Oh you didn't know that this is a weak preaching age? Sorry for the bad news but the good news in this is that there is no where to go but up. Well ask yourself. If you had out of necessity the need to change churches....what kind of church would you look for? My guess is that most answers would be they that would look for what would be considered a vibrant....successful....church....whereas on the other hand if a congregation demands that the cross of Christ be preached....most pastors would probably study up....and preach on it. There may be the answer.
           I've related before how when we travel or go on vacation that I scan all the church websites that I can find.....in an attempt to find a church where the gospel is usually preached. It's always a difficult task. The average church website gives precious little information on what they even actually believe....but they can give page after page after page on all the ministries that they offer.
          The most powerful preacher of Christ and His gospel that I have ever known personally spoke in somewhat of a monotone....with a faint stutter....and he wore a clerical robe in the pulpit. There were a handful of us who after the sermon were as if our shoes were nailed to the floor....for we just had to sit there for a few minutes and contemplate the majesty and the wonder of what we heard described......but the majority thought the pastor rather boring. He eventually moved on....on his own.
           We all share in the guilt for what the modern evangelical church has become. I have contributed more than my share over the years towards our condition. Generally.....congregations choose their own pastors. I was on a pulpit committee once that made a very good choice.....but I also voted against the man who would turn out to be the second best preacher that I have ever known personally. Fortunately the other side won that vote. Then again the finest young preacher I could even imagine.....a young Spurgeon in my view....was turned away from a congregation by getting only six votes.  No....I think that the congregations bear the greater burden of guilt for the poor preaching age we live in. On the whole....we have no idea what preaching from the past was like....and we're way too busy making America great again....therefore not in any way in need of or interested in finding out.     

Note: The 'Isaac Crockett' link to your left is a very short novel that I wrote over twenty years ago and can be read in a few hours. Isaac is a very big name rock star from the group Pilgrim. He's a Christian....and a Reformed theology Christian at that....who is having doubts about how long he should stay in Rock & Roll. He meets by happenstance Anne....a Catholic girl with a devout Catholic father. Of course we know that even happenstance has a designer. They fall in love and then the Catholic/Protestant divide.....comes between them. The novella takes place in Isaac's hometown of Ocean City, New Jersey (my favorite beach town) and Anne's hometown of Easton, Pennsylvania where friends of ours live. There are not many chapters but a lot happens. I was raised Catholic and Anne's father is modeled somewhat after my grandfather. Folks....I'm not a professional writer....you probably already know that....but I had a purpose in the novella and even a lot of fun writing it. As I needed a name for a character I just quickly picked a name from out of my past....friends from Buffalo where I was raised until the age of 12....and friends from Pittsburgh....and even friend's names from the army. Anne's church is the descriptive of the church I grew up in....and Isaac's respect for both sides of our Civil War is modeled after my feelings. Finally Isaac's passion for disseminating Christian literature....is also from me.

It's Not The Sheepskin.....It's The Shepherd's Heart

            There is a news story out where a woman in Florida had her parents visiting for a week. She was aware of a number of cases of flesh-eating bacteria and though it was a remote possibility....she prepared by applying protective ointments on her father. He became sick about twelve hours after coming out of the water. The older couple immediately left for home a few hundred miles away because the doctors would be more familiar with his history of cancer. There was a new development on the man's back....and the daughter told the hospital staff that it was necrotizing fasciitis....she knew this because she was aware of what it was....but they thought that stories of the flesh-eating disease were overblown. The gentleman died very shortly afterwards.
            I bring this up because we are in a self-adulatory age where when you have become what you believe to be an expert....you too often set aside your humility. Pastors too often are particularly susceptible to this. How could it be that people sitting in the pew....who have never seen the inside of a seminary....could possibly spot a problem in their preaching....but they really should have to look no further than the faces of the congregation after the sermon. Do they look like people who were just in the presence of the glory of God....who were humbled and then lifted up in gratitude that transcends the cares and plans for the rest of the day?
            'Lord should it be Thy will let tomorrow be the day that Thy servants....our shepherds....humble themselves in their calling....that they plead from the pulpit the mercies that we in America are so desperately in need of....that they preach the cross as if Jesus was returning tomorrow....and that they
warn us that we have adapted to the age we live in....thus losing discernment on the dangers around us. Do this to Thy glory alone Lord....in spite of us....and none more than me....who do not deserve Thy mercies."

Who Could Have Even Imagined

          Back in the 80s....or even the 90s....and even as recently as a decade ago....you could not in your wildest dreams even imagine the America of 2019. I have posted for a decade on the dangers of communism.....commenting favorably at times when radio talk show hosts were bold enough to even use the word......which wasn't often anyway.....and today communism absolutely rules the Democrat Party....but the the radio hosts now know it. Who could have imagined a President Trump....a demigod if there ever was one....who has in spite of so much evidence of his mental health issues....and strong-armed cover-ups....and complete disdain of truth from morning till night.....who has transfixed with horror those conservatives who had not already been swept away.
           I want to utter....."How could this be?".....but I know very well how it happened. God warned us for many decades on where we were heading not only as a nation but as a people.....His prophetic Word in the Old Testament.....which we should be reading all the time....gives example after example as Israel and even Judah transgressing to the point of being severely judged.....as God simply lifted His hand from them....and now it is us. God simply let us go in the direction that we wanted to go.....and we don't even have enough discernment to see the situation that we are in. In fact we....on our side....are rejoicing in what should be misery.
            We....once again on our side.....brought forth our valuables......ethics and truth among them....which were melted down....only this time with the purities taken out of them instead of the impurities......and then the whole mess fashioned into a golden-haired calf. Had Moses and Joshua descended upon that arena last night.....Joshua would have thought it at times war chants. You may have missed this.....Lara Trump spoke on the platform and then introduced her husband Eric......who sauntered in while the Trump campaign played one of their staples....the Rolling Stones.....Sympathy For The Devil.
           We are surely destroyed for lack of knowledge. Folks.....I'm in the car.....actually the truck.....quite often....and I have been for years in the habit of praying a short prayer for each and every single church that  I pass.....which is obviously a lot of churches. I don't care if they are faithful Presbyterian or Baptist or Lutheran Missouri Synod churches or if they are the impoverished and biblically destitute typical liberal churches. I Pray for that congregation....for unless God's Holy Spirit moves as winds on ripened wheatfields on those pulpits we will continue to sing and dance right down to the seaside where a wicker windmill is prepared for our sacrifice.

Note: In case you are not familiar with the song mentioned above....a very well-known Rock & Roll song by the way.....the lyrics begin with the following and then continue in the same vein.....and this song is played often at Trump rallies.....is there no one in that campaign who has a clue....or do they just not care....and why haven't Christians at least demanded that it be dropped from the playlist?

Note and update: Vincent van Gogh's father was a preacher in the Reformed tradition. Vincent expressed a passion to become a pastor himself and even gave it a try but later had to admit...."I have not been trained for the church." In one early letter to his brother Theo (1875) he wrote....."Theo, I want to make a suggestion that may perhaps surprise you. Do not read Michelet any longer or any other book but the Bible till we meet again at Christmas." I've met so many men like this in the past 37 years....in fact to a certain extent I was one myself. They taste the gospel that it is good....and can become passionate evangelists for the rest of their lives....but partially because this is an age of faddish theologies they never really learn the faith they espouse. Churches today often rush men in various church 'ministries'....without teaching them first.....primarily because they themselves are untaught. I search various church websites often....you might try this also....they will list scores of ministries offered but you can search in vain for any description of their beliefs other than the most basic elements of past creeds.

Who Has Bewitched You?

Preface: Personally I find it astounding. Let me say this first....I'm 69 years old....God opened my eyes in 1982.....37 years ago. If you are too young to have lived through the 80s you won't know what I'm talking about but many Christians back then knew that America was in rebellion against God....and was about to be judged. We had more ministers than you could shake a stick at reminding us of it. Three decades later....we....America....are 300% worse in our rebellion....(we could not even have imagined this America back then)....but now close to 100% blind to it. It's astounding that this has happened to us! You do the math....or in this case the logic....this church era that we live in right now is an absolute disaster. Preaching with an unction for the gospel is practically non-existent....for preaching glory has pushed aside preaching the cross. Prosperity and music are the calling cards where we now congregate in the most aesthetically attractive building....to show the world that our God is good....and very hip! I look over the Christian books every Tuesday while in Barnes & Noble....and then spot the same Billy Graham book Where I Am sitting untouched....fully aware that hundreds of other good Christian books are published but B&N won't carry them because no one will buy them....because no one has any discernment on anything anymore.....and at times I've come close to just breaking down right there....in the Christian Life section of Barnes & Noble. God had taken home both Billy Graham and R. C. Sproul....their job of warning us done. He has judged the church first ....by taking away our discernment.

           The Apostle Paul was incredulous. He asked the Galatians in his letter to them....."who has bewitched you'.....more fully...."You foolish Galatians, who has bewitched you...?" As I was reading yesterday through this letter from Paul to the Galatians.....and came across this verse again at the beginning of the third chapter.....I just naturally paused....my mind going back to America's troubles....where I so often try and fail to take a break from....and I could have uttered.....'you foolish evangelicals, who has bewitched you?'
            So speaking to evangelicals here if I may.....who or what has bewitched you so that have forsaken trust in Christ....as it pertains to America....for that's what you have done! Who is it that strengthened your stubborness and your pride so that you utterly refuse to even read about who this man is who has been his whole life a plague upon those he deals with and 'befriends'....and now is a plague upon us? Who is it that blinded you so that you rally around such a despicable individual as Donald Trump? This is a man would never enter a church to hear the gospel.....and from I have seen only enters a church for a photo op on a major holiday where he almost cannot avoid being there.....and who is on some golf course every Lord's Day....confidently smiling over the deal he thinks he has with God.....'I won't step on His toes...and He won't step on mine.'
            This is a man who indicated in the past that he doesn't see anything in himself where forgiveness might be needed. Raised in the secular church of the Reverend Norman Vincent Peale....you can see in him that secular gospel of positive thinking.....but to Christians he has taken on the role of a false prophet as he proclaims peace and security....where God's Word very clearly warns of judgment. He has a habit a gathering ministers around him to lay hands on him and pray for him but this is all political to keep your vote....and there are 'ministers' in these photos who we would normally never....ever....listen to.  Kenneth Copeland is one of the 250 ministers who signed the Reverend Franklin Graham's letter about praying for President Trump.
            There is nothing about Donald Trump that I have ever read.....and I am up to three dozen books right now....that evidences any Christian influence.....and plenty that is diametrically opposed to Christian teaching. So again....who or what has bewitched you....that you have chosen a false prophet as your champion.?
             Is it Jonathan Cahn's book The Paradigm where a President Trump is more than likened....he's almost tied in mathematically....connect the dots big time....with Jehu who rid Israel of Jezebel.....or should I add Hilary? Is this how we study God's Word today?
             Pro-life is a key issue in this administration but Donald Trump could not care less about it....in spite of any words he may speak or tweet. This I know from even his recent past....as Ivanka the Terrible went to see the president of Planned Parenthood after her father was elected and tried to broker a deal where PP could split and then abort babies while still keep their funding.....or don't you know about that......or do you think that she did this on her own.
             The man in our White House lies as freely and and easily as anyone I had ever encountered in public life.....and actually much, much more than anything I have even seen. Who I ask you....does God's Word call the 'father of lies? This is your champion! Do you not see even a touch of Nebuchadnezzar in Donald Trump......"Is not this great Babylon, which I have built by my mighty power as a royal residence to display my majestic splendor?" But we do not read the books that tell us these things because we have been indoctrinated into thinking that they are all fake news....which leads me to this....
            Have you studied the sects known today as 'Christian' cults? Evangelicals studied them a lot back in the 1980s. If you did you might see a similarity with the men (women) who started the typical cult....and Donald Trump. Here is a leader who cannot be questioned....with his own personal scriptures (talk radio) to guide us....and severe penalties if we abandon that faith. One other thing about this....these cults may appear to say the most wonderful things about Jesus Christ....their Jesus Christ. They all may differ in many ways....but they have one thing in common....all of them....Jesus Christ is not God....(alhough he may be 'a god'.) What does Donald Trump think about Jesus Christ? He's good at having someone fix him up with an answer in a situation like this but if he ever does answer this....or comment on it....look deep into that answer friends....for if Donald Trump had any idea at all on who Jesus Christ is....he would be on his knees in humble repentance....and this tragic figure that has captured the evangelical would have long ago sought with all his heart....what is right....and not just....what is profitable.
          Friends....if I have any left....you do not want this man for four additional years. He would abandon any pretext of being your friend once he no longer needed you. He has serious psychological problems but you wouldn't know that because you won't read. There is time to demand that someone challenge him in the primaries....for if someone would.....and Donald Trump would have to stand on a debate stage against a conservative who knows him and dislikes everything about him....and examines just what President Trump has accomplished....and what he has lied about.....and what he has taken sole credit for that conservatives had worked at for decades....and what he has made worse in his risk-taking quest for profit and personal glory....then it would be all over! This new Trump establishment must keep us quiet until the nomination is secured. Think about this also....you do not want President Trump making life and death decisions about North Korea or Iran or China or anywhere....where he is more concerned with winning or losing an election!

During Barack Obama's first campaign for president he spoke at a park just a four or five minute walk from our home. I purposely stayed home and did something trivial. If President Trump was to drive down our front street....I'd water flowers in the back. Rush Limbaugh had it right back in 2008.....(I came across the transcript quite by accident).....when he likened Obama's rallies to that of a cult. Ironically the Maha-Rushie is now the chief spokesman for a different cult. Both President Obama and President Trump have been judgments from God....where discernment and vision were taken away. Donald Trump for his part has sucked in evangelicals and high-profile ministers and so-called prophesy experts....prophesy experts who claim to have unravelled great prophetic mysteries of the Bible....but stumbled over simple warnings about delusion....that Christians are told always to be very wary of....that's why I had no desire to be in the presence of Barack Obama....and even less to be anywhere near Donald Trump. The hints were there all along....that this man was someone to avoid.....but no one warns us anymore....of anything. Not all Christians have been taken in....I know this for I talk to them all the time....but we are generally pushed in the background by the starry-eyed...glazed over rush to get a photo.....to see the hair in person....or to stand in the very presence of perceived greatness....when God's greatest gift to Christians....gets read with less frequency than the sports page.....or the community page....and has less attention given it than even the number of steps taken each day.....steps by the way.....that lead to Bunyan's The Flatterer.

God has brought America low. From President Trump to Kirsten Gillibrand....all of our options are cultural creations that should bring any thinking American to tears over how low we have sunk in the mire of our own entertainments. We created these people because of what we have become. From daytime and evening television to Trump rallies.....from congressional hearing firing squads to talk radio propaganda outlets....from mainline churches devoid of biblical truth to latte bars in vibrant but gospel-less mega-churches....from blasphemous cursing everywhere from our youth to the mouth of the president of the United States....and from the aroma of the ubiquitous 'God bless America' that must be a stench in the nostrils of God....to the meaningless 'in God we trust' that we attempt to assuage our guilt with....we are undone.

Tariffs are always risky in that they invite responses that can escalate. They are good and necessary at times....usually when our economy needs help.....but unwise when not necessary. On the one hand President Trump tells everyone all the time that America is doing better than it ever has and is the envy of the world. Does that sound like tariffs might be necessary? President Trump needs a booming economy....statistically....to secure reelection. He is risking serious consequences....even hostilities....unnecessarily. This also must be said....the general consensus among economists is that the economy is.....good.....not great. Nothing that Donald Trump says....ever....can be taken as accurate without outside verification....but we 'conservatives' do not value truth and honesty and integrity and ethics anymore. We've been weaned off of those archaic Puritanical customs in the new Trump Party. We want only results....profits....power...and leverage. We could not care less what other nations really think of us....as long as they bow down. Talk radio is our new bible....and Donald Trump our new messiah.

Geopolitical economist Jim Rickards new book is out....Aftermath. This is a man who travels with the elites of this world.....dines with the richest of the rich....and is an insider and often an adviser for our government. You can easily Google his name for his tweets and articles. I reviewed in 2017 his last book....The Road To Ruin....and highlighted the post a number of times since then. He is big on owning gold and I think that it would benefit anyone to hear his reasoning on this....but it is another of his theories that I want to bring up here in this post....and it concerns the expected small decrease by the Fed today on the interest rate. (The Fed did cut the rate a quarter) Rickards says that stock market collapses use up tools that are available to bring the market back.....and the more collapses there are over many years....the less tools that are left available. He says that those tools are now essentially gone. With such a low interest rate as we have now there is no dropping it anymore in an emergency....and that that interest rate should have been built up somewhat for that purpose if for no other reason. President Trump has applied pressure on the Fed to lower the already low interest rate....it looks as if the Fed buckled under that pressure. It's the opposite of what we should be doing.....and he wants this for his own personal reasons that will improve his chances for reelection. That's who he is folks....that's what we wanted....and that's just one example of many on the lack of wisdom and foresight in this man....not to mention the recklessness and egocentricity.

I returned today from a road trip of a couple hundred miles and received a few 'thumbs up' signals for my bumper sticker.....'TRUMP...4...YEARS ONLY....FROM A CONSERVATIVE.' We are out here....just waiting for a conservative challenger to the President who will tell the President's base what talk radio will not tell them. They won't touch this topic on talk radio....for they know that the only way President Trump retains his support is if we are kept in the dark as to what actually transpired....and who Donald Trump actually is.

Texas congressman John Ratcliffe....who in the hearings a few days ago called the Mueller Report and therefore Robert Mueller....."unAmerican"....was rewarded by being named to succeed Dan Coats as director of national intelligence. His appointment is subject to Senate approval and should be turned down. William Barr played coy and fooled us during his confirmation hearings. This appointment needs to be independent from the heavy hand of the political machinations of the president....any president. To attack an independent counsel examining the four decades old dealings that Donald Trump has had in Russia....and the subsequent obstruction of justice....and then almost immediately be appointed to such a job is not only questionable....it is under the circumstances unacceptable! What is interesting is that this man who used his five minutes of fame in attacking Robert Mueller will now find himself in Mueller's seat! UPDATE: Rep. Ratcliffe's nomination has been withdrawn....or the Congressman withdrew from consideration?

Robert Mueller appeared before Congress knowing that the questioning would be difficult. President Trump refused to be interviewed by the Special Counsel....knowing the questions would be difficult. All those around the President knew very well that he could not be interviewed in person without lying somewhere in that interview. The result of it all is that Robert Mueller was ridiculed while Trump and talk radio laughed their way through it all. Apparently there is no room today for someone who might actually think before he speaks. I could hardly understand the words let alone the questions that the first hostile questioner started the hearings off with and therefore set the tone for the entire hearing. This man was decorated in Vietnam for saving the life of a fellow Marine under fire....and decorated another time with a Purple Heart. At least he wasn't captured by the enemy because Donald Trump really doesn't like those guys does he. In a sane world people would have complemented him for holding back opinion in his report. Considering how President Trump blatantly and publicly worked on witnesses through his tweets and backroom pressuring....it's amazing that Mueller did not come out in the report outright and call it obstruction of justice.

I remember what it was like as an eighteen year old to listen with rapt attention to Robert F. Kennedy speak. When today I think of his name....the picture that comes to mind is of him standing....above everyone else....in a car possibly....what I remember of it is his being totally engulfed by black faces and outstretched arms....his sleeves rolled up on his white shirt. Love was in the air. I Know....I lived it. There were many similar photos where the crowds were white or mixed. I watched....on tape tonight....most of President Trump's speech to the young people at Turning Point USA....here with the outstretched arms pointing the camera end of their phones. Whatever this was....it was not the same thing. There was adoration in the air. Aside from references to the youth themselves it was practically identical to the typical Trump rally.....Rolling Stones and all. Whatever RFK's politics were....his emphasis was on 'other' people....what we could do for people in need. Looking back....I was one of those in need....but my thoughts were on others....never even contemplating what I could get or become out of it. Today the emphasis is on ourselves.....it may use statistics implying that the focus is on others.....but that focus is really on us....how we can become great.

It is time for John Bolton and Mike Pompeo and others to search their conscience on whether or not they are ignoring danger signs of a severe psychological disorder....but they think that they can keep under control....and apart from real decision-making....President Trump's disruptive and inciting attack tweets....impetuous and adolescent tantrums and narcissistic rants.

Donald Trump is a destroyer. He destroys people....(enemies on purpose....all who refuse to bow down to him....and others who simply fly too close to his flame.) He destroys ideas and whole movements. He has no conscience or compassion. Conservatism is dead. Talk radio is dead. Evangelicalism has shifted their focus from Christ onto a genuine biblical false prophet....all this while the now President Trump tweets and blathers what should easily with common sense and in light of ethical considerations be recognized for what it is....but then common sense and ethics are dead also.

The Freedom Caucus has now officially come out against the budget deal that will be coming up for a vote. (It's too late guys....and gals....all 31 or so of you....you have lost credibility....have you forgotten how in March of 2017....after coming out against Trump's Obamacare Lite bill....that he threatened to work against you in the 2018 elections....you are attempting to squash the Mueller report....but President Trump would swat you like a gnat if he had a chance.

As for Mark Levin....who I had often posted positively on over the years....recommending his excellent books....he began his show today hammering Congress for this new budget deal that continues to add to the tonnage of the national debt bomb that will eventually get us....but he left Trump out of it....which I knew that he would. I wonder if he ever even heard the story of how President Trump's economic advisers once early on sat him down with charts and graphs and told him how the debt bomb should explode just about the time that he....President Trump....would be ending his second term? What was the President's response? "Yeah, but I won't be here." I've repeated this anecdote before....and always end it with....'there's your champion!'

Anyone who had read deep into Donald Trump's dealings with the Russian government and Russian oligarchs....in various ways....over many decades.....and then was apprised of how Vladimir Putin's people worked so hard to get Donald Trump elected....might then see why some people in the FBI and CIA might bend some rules to investigate candidate Trump's actions.....but we don't read any of those books do we?

The problem still remains that a coverup is in progress. One question that I would have had today to Mr.Mueller would have been when if ever this redacted information in the Mueller probe will be set for release? The present Attorney General has effectively shut down all avenues in the investigation. Watergate was nothing compared to this.

I don't know if they are conspiring with one another but China/North Korea and Iran/ Hezbolah et al may act in tandem if a war breaks out in either area. If America has two fronts to deal with in a major conflagration then the draft will be instituted. Folks....imagine for a moment the problems with a draft today as to gender issues and illegal immigration and a divided country and a pool for conscription from today's culture. I guarantee you this....China and Russia know more about our potential problems than we do....and are planning accordingly.

You can be honest now.....you're not on the radio....there's no one here to attack you for not bowing down to the image of Donald Trump....do you really want five and a half more years of President Trump's egocentric nonsense....and year after year of gut-wrenching trolling....poking and jabbing....just to keep the focus on four freshman congresswomen or someone else....and therefore off of his own failures....while he loves every minute of it in his troubled mind?  Let's go over again what he's done.....Obamacare....very little after trying to con us on Obamacare Lite.....the wall.....very little after two years of doing nothing.....the swamp.....he put his name on it in giant letters.....the national debt.....he's taking it to infinity.....and beyond! Yes he cut stifling business regs....any conservative candidate would have done that....and he lowered the corporate tax....ditto....and he put conservative judges in.....double ditto....but he's made lying acceptable to conservatives....he's brought out the very worst in us....he destroyed the true conservative movement....he hi-jacked talk radio....and he neutered the evangelical movement. On every issue where he calls himself great....ask yourself if this is not something that conservatives had been fighting for for decades while he was building up his brand on a TV reality show. We need an honest and humble and God-fearing conservative primary challenger....but Donald Trump just wants a pass right on through to a general election. We need President Trump to see the writing on the wall....which he would see very quickly on a debate stage....without his squad of radio defenders....if someone should but challenge his boasting of being so great....they can debate North Korea and Iran and how he single-handedly saved the economy. We need this also....that we would have a president who is totally free of electioneering in what appears to be very tumultuous days ahead. We need the golfing and the  tweeting to stop....and then for President Trump to get down to the serious tasks at hand.

When we look at the Democrat presidential candidates....we see do we not....total and absolute blindness as to the Roman Empire style barbarian takeover of America? There apparently is not a one of them who is not willing to just give the nation away.....and do it with a smile. So....let's go back to the 2016 election. We had to get rid of Jezebel.....at least Christians had to get rid of Jezebel.....Trump won and we all celebrated.....but as God would have it.....the defeat of Hillary and Pelosi literally turned the Democrat Party over to the children of the 'village of the damned'.....and to make matters worse we got the real Jezebel in Ivanka! All of this is not to say that Hilary should have won.....nope.....she's as corrupt as she ever was.....it's a message to us....at least to Christians.....Donald Trump is a judgment....and just the latest. Christ is our only hope. It's the pulpit not the podium....but our pulpits have also consistently let us down.

It's not an anti-Trump book....and to some it will be considered a pro-Trump book. The authors....Allen Salkin and Aaron Short interviewed over 100 people...."close to the president".....and built their "objective nonpartisan oral history" around these taped conversations. The purpose of the authors is to show that Donald Trump did not stumble into the White House but brilliantly planned it all out for many years. The book begins in the 1990s during the Ross Perot challenge.....and takes the reader through the almost-campaigns for president....through the Reform Party episode....and through the years of The Apprentice.....and the almost-campaign for governor of New York....right up to....(and ends with)....the walk down the escalator at Trump Tower at 11:00 a.m. on June 16, 2015....it ends there! The book is valuable.....connects a lot of dots.....and slightly changed my view in a few ways. The Method To The Madness....Donald Trump's Ascent as Told by Those Who Were Hired, Fired, Inspired-and Inaugurated was released this past Tuesday. The book is constructed solely around the words of those interviewed....with short chapter descriptions by the authors.

"Alarm: if you at all can find a way to listen to Rush Limbaugh's show today on tape beginning about 12:45.....please try to do so.....and see what we have become....or at least wait a few hours and read the transcripts at rushlimbaugh.com."

Update: I posted the above the moment that a conversation that Rush had with a caller ended. The transcript under the heading...."Callers react to the behavior of U. S. soccer team"....was available through yesterday for those not subscribers to Rush 24/7. Now that it's not available....I'll describe what concerned me.....but admittedly would be absolutely nothing to most listeners. The content of the conversation was on the personal appearance of the women's soccer team members. It was odd and cold but Rush seemed to enjoy it. My concern was that the caller threw out the phrase...."for Christ's sake"....six times. I thought after the second time that Rush would politely thank the caller and end the call....but he let it go on for 5 1/2 minutes.....and then what happened stunned me. Rush....playing on the phrase used six times by the caller.....used it himself three times. Non-Christians wouldn't even notice this....and nominal Christians wouldn't think much about it....but others would have been supremely disappointed. This generally is not Rush Limbaugh. I not only understand but have written whole posts on how Progressives have regularly and disgustingly conjured up attacks on conservatives for being racist....but I have heard two legitimate racist callers on conservative talk radio in the past three days where the two different radio hosts not only did not challenge the callers but thanked them for calling in. My point in all this is that this is what Donald Trump does to everyone.....all of us....all of them....he brings us down to his low level....in a murky acid swamp if there ever was one.

I want to reiterate from past posts for it is important in understanding President Trump's poll numbers. The successful demonizing by Radio Free Trump of Robert Mueller among conservatives....and the ascendance of Bolshevik freshman radicals in the United States Congress....and the constant reminder of what Barack Obama did or what Hilary Clinton would have done....and various perversions of the media....only one being the Kavanaugh hearings.....have served to make Donald Trump appear as something that he is not. Reiterating further here.....Barack Obama was judgment from God on the Left in America....and Donald Trump is judgment from God on the Right in America.....just as God used Assyria to judge Israel....and Babylon to judge Judah.

Most of us have at least known the name Donald Trump for going on four decades. He was the typical rich celebrity....maybe even one of the prototypes that came to dominate the modern lives of the rich and the famous. Some Americans fed on that stuff. They would know more of Donald Trump back in 2015 than the rest of us who only knew him as a man who built towers....owned casinos.....and bought golf courses....and wrote books....(although he actually wrote none of them)....and who had three glamorous wives. Truman Capote....Donald Trump....Andy Warhol....we really didn't know much more of these celebrities other than what faced us each week at the grocery store cash register. So I was not a fan of Donald Trump by any means and as my posts show was very concerned about how we conservatives just bought into his promises without setting up any defenses in case he wasn't who he said that he was. Stopping Hilary was the order of the day. So when Trump won....and we wildly celebrated....including myself....the new President-elect almost immediately began to make the dumbest decisions that should have set off alarms all over the control rooms of true conservatism. It was time for me to read about who this Donald Trump was. I'm at forty books now....bios....critiques....praise hymn (him) books....and books specifically about Mar-a-Lago or golf or Russia....and I'm here to tell you unequivocally that this is a man who is vacuous as to anything noble....a deceiver and destroyer from day one....madly in love with himself....and the most successful con artist and charismatic cult leader America has ever known....but we won't entertain any critical examination of our champion will we....for talk radio....who we came to depend too much upon...makes sure we don't venture out to think for ourselves.

To say that it is dismaying does not do it justice. President Trump has been putting consistent heavy pressure on the Fed to lower interest rates....so that economic growth can go up like a rocket. It's not just what Trump is doing that is dismaying....for that's expected....that's him....wild and reckless....and shortsighted as the day is long....thinking only of his 2020 campaign. What's most dismaying is that he seems to have complete control over the minds of Republicans and conservatives....as if they are under a spell. They simply cannot get the gumption to criticize anything that he does. We heard reports that in the early days of the administration President Trump's economic advisers sat him down....(and that was probably a difficult thing to do in itself.....getting him to sit still and listen to dull theory and economic models)....and they showed him....graph and charts and all....that the national debt could implode just about the time that he would leave office after two terms. Now this is a man who campaigned on the danger of the rising national debt. His response? "Yeah, but I won't be here." There's your champion!

Update: I only caught the tale end of this caller's conversation on Rush Limbaugh today (7-16-19)....he was humble and polite and simply thought that Republicans could do better than Donald Trump in 2020. Having only read the transcript I don't know what Rush Limbaugh's voice inflection was in his answer but his words showed....(and you can read this for yourself on his website under 'Caller Wants to Nominate a 'normal Republican Instead of Trump').....that the gentle caller got under his skin a little.....and I don't blame Rush for that kind of thinking....(someone else in 2020).....can grow like a wildfire if the radio hosts are not careful. There was a second part of this call that was also interesting....as the caller mentioned the national debt.....and Rush really pooh-poohed it.....no problem here folks....read it for yourself. I know I said a prayer for that gentleman who called in....may God have mercy on all of us....and may He open our eyes to who Rush Limbaugh has become.

DO NOT DO THIS!

The following was first posted in October of 2009. The essence of it is if you want nothing to do with God....then do not risk opening His Word....but I want to add to that if you are comfortable with this ‘Christianity’ that you have and want absolutely no part in this ‘born again’ Christianity that makes not only nervous but angry....then simply continue not to humble yourself when you do open it. Do not preface your Bible readings by asking God to show you if you are wrong. Just continue to affirm that you will read what you want to read in the Bible.....and no one will change what you believe....for if you do let even the slightest bit of humility enter in....you may have your whole belief system rocked. It will be painful at first but you will.....with God’s grace....forever praise God that he did not let you fight Him any longer.

           I'm an incurable pack rat. My wife came to me yesterday with a gray disk, about the size of a silver dollar and asked if I knew what it was. It was slightly bevelled and had little holes throughout. I had no idea what it was. She was about to throw it away. What? Wait a second! If we throw this out there will be a day, when I need a disk about the size of a silver dollar, slightly bevelled with little holes throughout. She'll never learn. Just throw the thing out and don't ask me about it!
           I have in my hands, well actually I'm typing but I have here in front of me a book that I bought from the National Record Mart in the winter of 1973. It's title is Reach Out, The New Living Testament (illustrated.) It was published by Tyndale and I paid $2.95 for it. It has just a little bit of commentary in it and was aimed at young adults. I showed up at church services in Vietnam when in a solemn and introspective mood but the thought of church never entered my mind in my last seven months at Fort Bragg.
           I started at Pitt in January of 1973. It was a heady time. I read constantly, occasionally even class textbooks that I was supposed to be reading. I would take my latest book purchased from that same National Record Mart on the Pitt Campus into the bar....and my friends and I would discuss philosophy or some other subject that we were interested in until we could no longer pronounce our words. That's when my genius really came out. I remember one night particularly well. We were discussing The Teachings Of Don Juan by Carlos Castaneda. Here was a UCLA anthropology grad student taking lessons from a Yaqui Indian shaman on how peyote was instrumental to understanding the mysteries of life. We were absorbed in this while unaware that a couple of quarts of Budweiser did the same thing. In between this nonsense I would occasionally show up at St. Paul's Cathedral but it would be almost a decade before God opened my eyes and I could see the marvel of the gospel and the majesty of His Son, but I had had a taste in 1973.
           Sometimes I open this book up and press the pages to my face, smelling them and imagining how that word Jesus would thrill me before I even understood. I'll read a few verses from this paraphrased translation, for it is not a true translation, and be transported back for only a moment. And a moment is all that I would want for I was lost back then. I was in love with me and only the grace of God kept me from facing Him until a time would come when He would hold the words of the Bible up to me as a mirror where I could only see corruption. There are so many mysteries that will be explained to us when this life is done but none to me as incomprehensible as to why God opened my eyes. If you are firm in your decision to reject God, and you want a good excuse to bolster your case, just think of me. If God would redeem me, then there is no fairness in the world. And don't listen to the voice on the other shoulder that says if God would indeed forgive me, then there is also hope for you. And whatever you do...don't open His book!!!

Hustlemania III

Preface: They should call it Hustlemania III. Maybe you remember this more than I do...as at the time I just looked over the headline and passed it over. It was Wrestlemania XXIII in 2007. I watched a video on this a few minutes ago. Donald Trump was at ringside....he and super wrestling promoter Vince McMahon were part of the show in a challenge bet on two wrestlers. Trump's wrestler won....Mr. McMahon was supposed to be angry. Trump appeared out of nowhere and body-slammed McMahon.....then he and a wrestler held McMahon down and shaved his head bald. I was reminded of that this morning as I read of the pushing and shoving to get the photographers in place around our President crossing over into North Korea. What a show. What a disgrace. Donald Trump has no problem whatsoever with a murderer like Kim Jong-un because he.....Trump.....is soulless and has no conscience. Anyone who would take the time to read about who Donald Trump is would see that....but we've been told....by the Trump First Party.....that only the Trump First Party has the truth.

Donald Trump is a destroyer.....in a very biblical sense of the word. He is either actively trying to destroy those who do not or had not bowed down to him....this because he is a man with a deep ingrained bloodthirst for revenge.....or his sullied acolytes are discarded in the ditch after blindly defending him until they are no longer useful. He destroys whole movements......conservatism is destroyed because of him....Tucker Carlson the latest to land on the flypaper. He destroyed what the locust swarm of Ralph Reed and Karl Rove left of evangelicalism....Franklin Graham being the saddest story in a long time of a good man being taken in. Donald Trump is a false prophet.....literally.....and now a bona fide cult leader. All of this on who Donald Trump is is readily available to anyone in dozens of books....old and new....on the man who by his own admission is essentially the same person that he was as a kid....but we would never even pick up that 'fake news'....for the elders of this cult continuously warn us against it. Trump thrives today because of the Bolshevism within the Democrat Party and the horror in our culture....as we feel we have no other choice but to cling to this man who says that he is our great defender.....where in fact because of the deceit and lies that permeate his character.....he is really little better than they are.            It is my contention that it is the responsibility of every serious conservative to at least consider the warnings from conservatives out here who are not supporters of President Trump....and research just who this Donald Trump is. Are we just plain wrong.....or never-Trumpers? Why would Ann Coulter call President Trump a con man? It's because he is a con man!
           Ben Shapiro's Daily Wire has an article up right now on whether Donald Trump Jr. might run for office some day. In an extraordinary turn of events....hard-core progressive activist and experienced and tough corporation exec....Ivanka....is now one of the good guys!            We are in the process of building a tyrant in Donald Trump. Folks....if you do not know who this man has been for the past sixty years....you are operating blind.....it's that bad. Nothing that he would do could surprise me. He is the most talented con man that I have ever seen in action....and I've seen some great ones in my study of cults over the years.
           Many of these people who had left the White House have written books on what President Trump is like.....but we don't read those books do we? We just sit and listen to Rush and Sean and Mark all day. All three of these men have been taken in. They love America yes.....but their all of a sudden being thrust into the actual corridors of power have sucked them into the vortex. It's not only because of a lack of information....they have to know they do this....they obscure all the legitimate criticism that Donald Trump so richly deserves. Their hand-picked callers give a terribly false impression of what is going on out here with conservatives....but we've been excommunicated haven't we? We're never-Trumpers.....to be ignored....and sneered upon.
            If but one of these men....or Marlow in the morning on Breitbart....if but one of these men see who Donald Trump is....then the snowball will start rolling downhill.....but that may never happen because they think that Trump's second term has to be defended at all costs in order that these crazy Democrats don't take over the White House....but they know not the full measure of what they are asking for.
           No one on our side wants President Trump impeached....(not yet anyway)....or even impeachment proceedings....but we want him to bow out of a second term gracefully....(for he is not the man who he said that he was as a candidate....his agenda now being one of power and hegemony....in a gilded swamp.) We want him to take credit for defeating Hilary and implementing some...even many conservative measures.....measures that we fought for while he was back playing around with Miss Universe Pageants......and measures that would have been taken by a number of other Republican candidates on that debate stage in 2016. Take the deserved credit and bow out gracefully or we may just get that challenger. President Trump looks good being feted on Sean Hannity's show....it would be an entirely different story if a bold conservative challenger ever steps up and gets a microphone.
           Most important in all of this is the next twenty months. We should not want a President dealing with the evil actors on this world's stage.....while worrying about poll numbers.....watching Fox & Friends.....tweeting revenge on enemies....strutting around rally stages....preaching peace and security....and that our best times are ahead of us....and not sweating drops of Diet Coke as he fully acknowledges and embraces the cauldron that this world is really in. May God have mercy upon us in these difficult days that appear to at our very doorstep!

Note June 26th: Mark Levin's new book Unfreedom Of The Press has been NO. 1 for four weeks. I don't think I'll be reading it but I'm sure that I would agree with just about everything in it.  The biases of the press are not new. News journalism is....well it's not even news journalism anymore....with no hint that new graduates know what news journalism once was in America. What amazes me with Levin's book is that although the Left is godless and Marixist in essence....while we may at least be on the right side....that talk radio is guilty of the very same biases. For example...the MSM praised Barack Obama on everything....(or the Clintons etc.)....calling him brilliant....totally ignoring and even covering up his glaring misdeeds....while demonizing those who criticize them....without even giving them the courtesy of a fair hearing. Well talk radio does the very same thing....they praise Donald Trump on everything....calling him brilliant....totally ignoring and even covering up his glaring misdeeds....while demonizing those who criticize him....and not giving a fair hearing to those....even conservatives....who take great issue with President Trump. This problem goes beyond just journalism. We as a culture have lost the ability to have dialogue. I can remember stirring conversations with friends back in the 80s and 90s....exchanging ideas. I can hardly buy an extended conversation today. We state our position or opinion....then it's 'Katie, bar the door!' It used to be exhilarating to debate....today it's exasperating. We don't write letters anymore....we email or worse yet....text. Generally when you read any book of some famous person's letters you might come away thinking....'my they were intelligent'....but that's how they all wrote....even farm boys in the Civil War. No....Levin is certainly correct in taking to task the Mainstream media....but he and others should at least examine themselves to see if they had been taken in by the same temptation.
