I know that you read about it by now but did you see that Miss
Universe Pageant? I saw the clip on YouTube. It wasn't life or death but
it was still hard to watch. For those who don't know what I'm talking
about, the Master of Ceremonies crowned the wrong contestant! He crowned
the runner-up. Immediately after that it was just like any other major
beauty pageant with the pomp and celebration. And then the MC was told
the error. It was all on live television. He had to apologize and find
the words to explain what happened. Miss Columbia didn't move a muscle
as her world temporarily collapsed around her.
I had a similarly embarrassing situation happen to me earlier in life. It wasn't millions of people watching but it was probably a few thousand. I don't want to give the specifics of the incident other to say that it was an achievement but not a title or a win or even an award. Nonetheless it was a difficult moment. One that, for better or worse, had an impact in my life. Well, enough of that!
Are you sure that you are a Christian? Now you don't know me from Adam so you should be able to freely meditate on this. I'm not referring here to things that you do or might not do as criteria for being a Christian. I'll simply ask one question.....are you, or have you ever been, overwhelmed.... overwhelmed.... overwhelmed....by God's grace towards you? If not then there may have been an error.....for one can adhere to the Christian faith as with any other of the world's religions but know not Christ or be covered by His shed blood.
