That is pretty strong stuff from family members. I've read numerous Christian prophesy books over the decades. These authors were writing about a topic that has truth as its foundation.....God's word.....the Bible. It's also a topic where an author has a certain amount of freedom to speculate....if it is admitted to be speculation....but prophesy books are also extraordinarily susceptible to gross over-speculation...oftentimes bordering on....if not full-fledged heresy....and unfortunately these books tend to sell well to unsuspecting evangelicals....who like to have their fill of conspiracy....and who receive very few warnings today on anything they consume.
I picked up the Robert F. Kennedy Jr. book....The Real Anthony Fauci....and thoroughly browsed through it....recognizing many of the news stories from the past. I would have bought the book....almost did....and would have read it with a highlighter in hand....but to be honest....$32.50 was too much for what I recognized the book to be....in that it is very similar to the more outrageous prophesy books that by their very nature are for people who want to be outraged.
What makes me sad is that I know that many evangelicals will automatically accept the book as truth....and I'll get plenty of....'but have you read The Real Anthony Fauci yet?' I'll soon be able to say yes....Lord willing....for I intend to borrow a copy....but until then I'll describe what I know about these type of books.....that are everywhere.....on about any political or religious topic that people want....QAnon being a prime example....that tickle the ears that want tickled....but are an amalgamation of 'facts'....carefully chosen....that support the conclusion that we in advance demand to hear. That a Tucker Carlson blurb is on the cover is no surprise at all.
