Forty years ago....roughly....as I can attest to....and even longer actually in evangelicalism....the church not only knew of but paid strong attention to the verses in God's Word that mentioned the....mark of the beast....on the forehead or on the hand. It was second nature to us....but the world laughed at it....among many other things of a prophetic nature. Well that laughter is all gone today.
The world....with all the advances in technology....has for at least a decade now actually....as they try to find alternatives to what we have always known as money....put forth the possibilities of chips on the top of the hand. We certainly are not surprised....and they just ignore the fact that the Bible has predicted all of this.
AI....artificial intelligence....has literally taken the world by storm. This is all part of those verses at the end of Daniel...."But you, Daniel, shut up these words and seal the book until the time of the end. Many will roam to and fro, and knowledge will increase." (12:4)
The newly inaugurated American president....as he has gone out...."conquering, and to conquer." (Revelation 6:2)....has begun a monumental venture with three other tech titans....this to be known as Stargate....to insure that America has dominance over the world in the science and application of artificial intelligence.
China wants to blow all of this out of the water with its own venture known as....DeepSeek. We have been trying to keep essential chips produced by the giant....Nvidia....away from them....but if they are to be believed....and many computer scientists do believe them....they have found a way to drastically decrease the need for hardware....and energy....thus with a pittance of the percentage of money the West has to spend....they....China....can challenge the United States for hegemony. In the process....the danger of AI is increased....if that increase in danger can get any worse?
One-hundred and twenty-three years ago....December 17, 1903 to be exact....the Wright brothers made their first successful sustained flight in a machine heavier than air. It has been a century of...."Many will roam to and fro, and knowledge will increase"....since then.
There are literally dozens of specific prophecies like this....with many if not most of them already fulfilled. One of them is that in...."the time of the end"....as Daniel put it....there would be a great falling away.....in the church. Forty years ago we looked a this and just assumed that this would involve the liberal church that already existed....but as it turns out....that Bible verse was talking to us. We would fall away. Matthew 24:24 mitigates that a little bit as it adds the words...."if possible, even the elect"....which seems to say that genuine redeemed Christians will for a time be part of that falling away.....and that is what is happening right now.
In early 2016 I wrote a post....I believe that I called it....Bumpkins....Low-Information Voters....Racists....And Homophobes. In that post I took to task liberals who outrageously slandered Christians. I used 'John and Mary' as examples....who were anything but low-information voters or racists or anything like that. They were loving and compassionate....and they still exist today....and I look up to them....but I could not write that post today....because MAGA has to too much of a degree changed the evangelical. I see and hear it with my own eyes every day!
We are indeed low-information voters today because we go only to today's talk radio and the horrible Breitbart....and the totally biased Fox....and a slew of podcasters who talk about God all the time....but are more pharisees or zealots....than even evangelicals let alone believers. We thus have bought into everything that they fed us with. Our compassion for a family walking to America in order to live what God had already given to undeserving us...is gone. We just naturally believe that if a merit system is used....then white people will naturally get the jobs. We are even starting to question whether disabled people are of any service to a society. It is that bad. And we have come to believe that we are doing all of this for God.
Tomorrow is yet another Lord's Day. If tomorrow was the Super Bowl I wouldn't even mention this....for entertainments are our number one God....but it is an off week for pro football. There were two air-disasters during the week....and the man that we chose as president is showing very clear signs that even a new believer should recognize as anything but Christian. This is at best a mess of pottage that we have traded our evangelical zeal for! And at worst....we may find out that we....not the globalist pagans....set the stage for the mark of the beast....and the one-world ruler.
I'll use the prayer of a 2018 Lord's Day Post to conclude....
"Lord if it by Thy will may this be the day that Thy Holy Spirit awakens our pulpits. May this day before see Thy servants....our shepherds.....toss and turn this night....trying to deal with what Thy Spirit is calling them to do. Lord take thy church back to the old paths from which Thy servant Jeremiah instructed us to go. We are besot upon Lord from every direction. We are drowning Lord in a sea of unbelief. We are confused Lord.....in chaos even....so much so that a false prophet has bewitched us....and we followed him.....and he changed us......and took our eyes off of Thee. Thy glory has departed Lord. We meet and offer praises but our attention span is determined by the plans that we had already made for the day....acceptable and honorable plans in themselves Lord....but not acceptable on the day that Thou has given us to renew our strength. Thus Lord Thy glory and Thy power has departed from us. Restore us Lord. Thou has set boundaries on the sea....where it may go no further.....set boundaries Lord on the deceptions of this world....that they no longer overwhelm us. Do this Lord for Thy name sake.....for Thy glory alone. Bring a new day upon us Lord.....where we are once again a peculiar people....where we once again look with great hope and expectation for Thy return. Do all this Lord to Thy glory....may every breath we take be to Thy glory....every plan we make....every thought....every act of repentance....every offering of praise! Bring others into Thy kingdom Lord....use us Lord....fill the banquet hall! May we never lose astonishment Lord on how Thou has had mercy upon us....never forget our past state....our deadness to Thy Word....our hopelessness....and thus always be in remembrance of Thy grace and mercy....and may we therefore never stop praising Thee. Even when our minds are enmeshed in difficult and complicated tasks of the day....may Thy voice be as clear as in total silence....and Thy presence as overpowering as when we first believed!"
