I Can't Imagine Why?

                I can only imagine....(I actually typed that before realizing that it was the title of the film)....I can only imagine that many readers....particularly some of the college students who visit these posts....will be flabbergasted to read that before yesterday I do not even remember hearing of the Christian music group....MercyMe. In the early days of our Christian walk.....the 80s....maybe into the 90s....we went to dozens of Christian concerts....seeing many of those well-known singers and groups even a couple of times.....but as time moved on....contemporary Christian music concerts became less and less. 
                So this afternoon we went to see the newly released Christian film....I Can Only Imagine 2....implying that there was an....I Can Only Imagine...1. There were actually some great elements to this story....and it was to me a big surprise how much we were moved by the film.
                There were six people in the theater....my wife and I included....and I just scanned through the showings tomorrow and Saturday.....and there were only six seats total reserved? Maybe there is something that I am missing here....as I thought that it would be the opposite....with everyone going....and me being disappointed in a movie about a Christian musical band?
                 Oh well....maybe last week....the first week....was well-attended. Either way I give my recommendation to see the film....for there were a lot of edifying moments....in a church age....that is starving for such  edification.
