Folks.....if you are an avid radio talk show listener.....how many times have you heard the phrase....The Left.....today? It's probably been about a dozen or so times if not more. Not only is using this phrase not adequate.....it's almost self-defeating for the purpose of using it to begin with. That term.....the Left.... has become excruciatingly nebulous. We brush it off as meaning just another description of liberals. It has no power to warn or inform. It obscures more than it identifies.
The political phrasing of 'left-wing' has French origins and can have a number of meanings if one actually thinks about it....which we do not. It can allude to social justice....that sounds good....or feminism.....or environmentalism. One can even milquetoast it into being of a Bohemian nature.....artsy. Today we mostly use it to describe Socialists or Progressive Democrats....amnesty-the Left.....gay marriage-the Left....impeach Trump-the Left. Although 'the Left' fits the conversation, using it serves as camouflage for the real culprit as to America's collapsing political order......Communism.
My opinion here....normally we (talk radio and its listening audience) would use the word Communism a lot more but we have long since been snake bit by the spurious connotations to the word McCarthyism. Senator Joseph McCarthy saw real communists in our government and did his best to warn us. They did to him what they're doing to President Trump today. How many times have you heard the word Puritanical in the past month? However many times you heard it it would have been almost spewed out in mocking derision of America's spiritual forefathers. These people haven't a clue about the Puritans....and they haven't a clue about Senator Joe McCarthy....they also haven't a clue about Donald Trump....and they haven't a clue about the ideology that they unwittingly serve.....Communism! They're not into facts. They're into personal destruction of strong enemies.....which is a tried-and-true tactic of Communism.
Once one understands Communism then one sees its fingerprints on the Ivy League....on Roe vs Wade....on the drug culture......of the sexual revolution....on same-sex marriage.....on God being taken out of our schools....on Hollywood......on the NFL....on the mainstream media....on the air-brushing of our history.....need I go on? Communism's plan did not need an army of infiltrators.....it only needed a dedicated cadre of true, dyed-in-the-wool, communists.....who expected nothing soon....but everything eventually.
We know little to nothing about Communism today.....because Progressive education is a step-child. If we did know.....we would be taking a different tact in the battle against most of the assaults upon our Republic from within. We wouldn't be spending every minute of every broadcast hour defending President Trump.....we would be talking Lenin and Marx and Stalin and Mao and Castro and Che. We'd be talking comrade Xi Jinping and Frank Marshall Davis. We'd be analyzing Putin as to his past, and Barack Obama as to his mentors. We'd know more about the Communist Manifesto than we do about the Russian dossier.....which is a lot.....and we would be winning over people.....instead of preaching to the choir.....which is most of what we are doing today.
