Preface to this morning's post: Every show that a conservative radio talk show host spends the entirety of on the Mueller investigation......at this point in time at least......is valuable time wasted. This soft coup attempt on a sitting United States president has long since been in the hands of responsible Republicans in Congress.....they can take care of it. The radio hosts....not all of them....are now patronizing us.....patronizing as defined..."betraying a feeling of superiority." They simply need to have you kept kept in line.....not really thinking for yourself on other issues......not questioning President Trump on anything....they will lead....we will follow! In the process they are in effect abnegating their duties to serve as our source of information at a time where we have little to no other responsible media....these are duties which they admirably, unrelentingly and invaluably performed in the many years....even decades....prior to the election of 2016.
Why is this? For whatever reason....and it is anything but flattering to them....they bought lock, stock and barrel into the new and improved Donald Trump....and have been commissioned to sell him to us. The greater issues causing the collapse of our nation are not being dealt with....as the epidermal lesions resulting from them are pointed out ad nauseam. Communism....just one of those greater issues....(the greatest issue being our rejection of God)....thrives upon....and has always thrived upon....our failure to focus on it....to teach on what it is....to point out its many tentacles....especially those grabbing hold of our youth....and our fear at times to even mention Communism.....in this culture that will immediately draw charges of McCarthyism.....this scare tactic also an integral part of the design!
If I hadn't personally witnessed it myself....I wouldn't have thought it possible. Conservative radio talk show hosts....three out of the top four anyway....have gone over a year now......three hours a day.....five days a week.....repeating over and over again....the same facts and figures and theories and names.....all related to either a defense of Donald Trump......and/or.....charges against Hillary Rodham Clinton. Again today....in the middle of chores and errands.... I reluctantly turned on Sean Hannity and felt like screaming out.....it was like I was trapped in some Groundhog Day scenario where I wake I up for the three-hundredth time to Sean talking about Paul Manafort.
Now where would this Mueller investigation be had not the talk show hosts taken this sabbatical from the rest of life to preach to the choir? The answer is that it would be in the exact same place had talk radio given just adequate or even half of its time to this very troubling situation. They would then have had the other half of their time to inform their listening audience of little inconsequential things like......Communism's influence on the American education system and college campus....or basic economics like.....if you make $10 an hour and are $10 million dollars in debt.....giving up chewing gum isn't going to help a whole lot.....in other words you might want to pay more attention to the national debt.....or how about......the tax cut is good but the way things are looking you'll probably be drafted in the army by then.....and as a private E-1 that tax cut is only a couple bucks a month.....or maybe that this artificial intelligence really is kinda creepy.....my new electronic 'intelligent personal assistant" just told me to worship her as god!
Folks, I spent years in my early Christian walk researching cults......how could this million people follow this man.....or that ten million people follow that woman......can't they see the signs of deception and manipulation? I put ads in the newspaper......call me.....let's talk! And now.....thirty years later.....I find conservative patriotic Americans as if throwing palms before Donald Trump. They refuse to question anything that he does. It's as if he has some kind of hold on them.
He's our president.....let's defend him from this deep state coup.....but let's not cut off our hair....put on saffron robes....and dance and sing....hare Trump....hare Trump....hare Trump....all year long.
