That which is usually called a 'Christian cult' is generally a religious sect that claims to be Christian.....but denies core doctrines of the historic and biblical Christian faith. These cults are usually started by a charismatic individual who just had that special ability to mesmerize. People follow him and the next thing you know is that this sect now has its own 'scriptures'....and commentary....and that's all that you're supposed to read....that which comes from the leaders of this new.....sect....cult....religion....whatever you want to call it. Now if you stray from these core commands then you are ostracized in some way. This description is generally what I saw for the decade or so that I researched 'Christian cults'.....this almost four decades ago.
Oh.....the quote from above? It's directly from Rush Limbaugh's website archives from 2008. I literally stumbled upon it one day as I was researching something else. It was a long segment and in that quote Rush was speaking about Barack Obama after the presidential candidate held a rally in Houston. When its Obama's rallies it's a cult....but when it's Trump's rallies it's a great thing!
Today....Donald Trump is that charismatic individual......the new Trump party has its own scriptures....and its own commentary....explained, exegeted and expounded upon on conservative talk radio....while we are surely not to go anywhere else for information....certainly not to the dozens of books out there about Donald Trump written by authors who have not gone to our seminary....for they....our leaders.....will give us all the information that we need to know.
Folks.....both Barack Obama and Donald Trump have been part of God's judgment upon us. As for Obama....the Left wanted someone like him....and God gave him to them. As for Donald Trump.....that's what we wanted.....no one was going to push America around again....so God gave us what we really wanted....only what we really needed was to humble ourselves before our Creator.....and seek His strength in our weakness.
