On the Michael Cohen book. Just a couple of things to think about....if the tables were reversed....and it was an Obama or Clinton lawyer that turned states evidence....so to speak....they would be....and have been at times....heroes. That's the first thing you have to deal with if you are going to reject the book simply because of who wrote it. I'm not even halfway through it but wanted weigh in on what I'm reading. There have already been over seventy books that I've read on Donald Trump....but this one still shakes me up. The events that Cohen relates may be new....but not the person. It's not the best book for the serious biographical student of Donald Trump to read....but it is one book that if a Christian does read....they will most likely never really defend him again.
I want to give just this one sample from Disloyal A Memoir. Michael Cohen was early on given the responsibility to lead the outreach to the evangelical community. Evangelist Paula White....or whatever she is....(take the time to read about her on your own)....gathered more than fifty religious leaders to meet at Trump Tower....(this is in 2011.) Cohen said that when these leaders "solemnly" came forward to lay hands on Trump....that this was the moment he knew that Trump would someday become president....because these people actually believed him...."He could lie directly to the faces of some of the most powerful religious leaders in the country and they believed him-or decided to believe him, a distinction with a real difference....(Trump) knew what they really cared about....(abortion and Supreme Court justices etc.)....that was [his] rat-like cunning....and it was a talent I knew that he would ride all the way to the White House." After the meeting....according to Cohen's book....Trump said to him...."Can you believe that b***s***....can you believe people believe that b***s***?".
Update: It's a few hours later and I've finished Michael Cohen's book....the last chapter describing how the....government....tried to keep him locked up so that he could not publish this book. I remember these stories in the news on how he was to be released....and then told to sign a document that he would not in effect write a book....and then taken back to jail....followed by the judge who ordered his virus related early release....calling his being taken back to prison as retaliatory....and this was only seven weeks ago! I have written many times how Donald Trump is a destroyer....either purposely destroying people....or others destroyed simply by flying too close to his flame. Well....Michael Cohen has a dual passport on this trip to you know where.....as he both crashed after being right next to Trump in his orbit....and then was stomped on to make sure that he would never fly again. The Donald Trump in this book is the same person who appears in dozens of other books on him....only in this book....similar to John Bolton's which was on a totally different topic matter....you get to go in the very room where these things happened.
