We Are At No Loss Of People To Pray For

A friend of mine commented to me about a week ago that he had not heard about the college student murders in Idaho. Often....other friends might tell me that they do not read the news....or they even might advise me not to read the news....or not as much of it as I do....which is bare minimum....twenty times a day. I'm sure there is wisdom in their thoughts....although the advice might not be exactly right.

I read only a few minutes ago how there was an automobile accident in the far west of Australia....where the parents were killed....and the three children....ages 5 and 2 and 1....survived 55 hours in 86 degree heat.
Just about every time that I check the news....there is something or someone there to pray for. We are not at a loss of things to pray for....even outside our own families....in fact...we should be overwhelmed by the amount of people who need prayer....in this rapidly expanding information age.
I pray for every visitor that I see came to these posts. I pray for the person....and for wisdom in my words....and mercies if I do not have that wisdom.
John Piper....in his desiringgod.org....sermons of the day....is spending....it appears....about a week on prayer....something that his ministry apparently does at the beginning of every new year. You can easily Google many wonderful sermons on prayer at....Charles Spurgeon sermons on prayer....and Martyn Lloyd-Jones sermons are also out there.
Prayer seems to come to us when all else fails....or seems to fail. That's not the way that it should be....but at least it brings us to praying. So...in advance....I pray for you....in your needs....for wisdom and discernment to navigate these increasingly treacherous times in which we live. I hope that you might also pray for me...for that is what we Christians do....pray for each other....is it not?
