On the above: An America not that long ago....before God gave us over to the desires of our own hearts.

"And from the time that the regular burnt offering is taken away and the abomination that makes desolate is set up will be 1290 days. Blessed is he who waits and arrives at the 1335 days." (Daniel 12: 11,12 ESV) It is generally assumed that this verse points to the mid-point of the Tribulation....when whatever new temple or altar for sacrifice will be ended. I understand the thinking....and I understand why people accept it....but I cannot say that I am totally convinced....particularly since 1260 days is 3 1/2 years....and also that a day has been associated with a year in Ezekiel. Are there any other possible theories? Well one would be this....although there was no temple anymore....it is said that various small Jewish groups would offer a sacrifice on the temple mount....this for hundreds of years....but when the Dome of the Rock was built....roughly 688 to 692....even these sacrifices would have stopped. 1290 years....added to 692 AD is about 1982....add and extra 45 years....whatever that maybe....would take you up to 2027....just something to put in the back of the mind. The Tribulation theory of 1260 does not necessarily exclude or preclude the something else is related to 1290.

Silicon To Carbon....The issue seems to go back at least a decade....(this is not my area....I have no working knowledge in this area)....will carbon begin to replace silicon in computer chips. I posted this thought in 2017...."One author recently pointed out that the chemical element carbon has 6 protons...6 neutrons....and 6 electrons. (atomic number 6) About 12% of the body's atoms are carbon. That's not my particular concern. What is my concern is a megacomputer that is going to think for itself.....which really is not thinking for itself....but would be guided by an entity other than data input. Will that entity be algorithmic....or.....possibly demonic? Yeah, scientists are really going to be concerned about this...right? I doubt if even Christians will be concerned....even though Jesus cast out a lot of demons......for we don't really want to bring up that nasty business of demons today do we?"

Robot's Rules Of Order....I posted this at the same time...."Robots will be and are taking jobs. We are consumed with the money-making and fun things we can make them do. And with all the robots there will be even more drones flying around.....everywhere! They're already used in war.....and they will eventually be used by terrorists."

It has been reported that there was an attempt by the Ukraine of the life of Putin....by way of explosives on a drone. The drone malfunctioned....but as I brought up in 2017....this is what we have to look forward to.

Flee Talk Radio....I had been a regular radio talk show listener since the early 1970s. If you are a Pittsburgher older than dirt you remember Mike Levine and Roy Fox and John Cigna at KDKA just to name a few. It was mentally stimulating....and enjoyable....as callers picked the conversations....and said what they wanted to say. As recently as 2016 I still listened to talk radio. Hannity at the time was the hardest working of all of them. If he wasn't on the air then he was preparing for some rally supporting our troops. I listened to a few minutes of his 3 to 6 radio show just now....and folks....this today is a drug....injected intravenously so to speak....drip-fed to somnambulant listeners who have trouble thinking for themselves....and thus are easily led. For eight years now it has been a drug. There is nothing intellectually stimulating or mentally healthy in conservative talk radio any more. The word 'conservative' is even absurd. It is mind control pure and simple....and my strong recommendation to Christians....is to avoid this habit at all costs! Think about this for even a minute....the time you spend on talk radio and podcasts and evening cable....(and you will acknowledge this in due time)....the time you spend here could have been used listening to God's Word preached by either men of the past....when there was power in the preached Word...or the few men today who preach like men of the past.

Abortion Is Sacrifice....I am not home this morning....and the television is on about fifteen feet from where I type....The View I believe....Whoopi Goldberg speaking I believe....abortion the topic....and she gives an impassioned speech on her rights....but here is what few people today have any idea of....in ancient pagan lands.....biblical lands....even Israel at times....the people actually sacrificed children to the horror of the demonic god Moloch. Even the most progressive of people today would have a hard time coming to grips with that.....even though....in essence.....they do the exact same thing! The baby in the womb is destroyed....sacrificed actually....to whatever god is behind the reason that the baby must not be born.

Who Or What Might Fill The Vacuum In AI.....essentially...it seems that researchers try to copy the brain in their building artificial intelligence. They observe how neural networks work....and try to copy it with computations. My first warning of AI in these posts was in 2015. It is a created monster....but here is the rub....scientists....'created'....it....but artificial intelligence itself....from all the reports coming out....seems to operate....ex nihilo....out of nothing. God created everything in existence...ex nihilo....out of nothing. Man cannot do that....nor can machines of any kind. So what is this seeming ex nihilo that AI spouts out? There is a vacuum....and there are computations....and then something appears to take control. The possible relation of AI to the demonic should be in our minds as we see all this unfold.

Macho Macho Man....I Want To Be A Macho Man....It was reported an hour ago that the most recent mass-murderer purchased his weapon just last week. The following is the first paragraph of a recent post titled....God's Hand Has Been Lifted....That's Why All This Is Happening...."Having worked in a rural and industrial setting for 37 years....I am very familiar with men who love hunting and love their guns. I can appreciate the precision and the beauty in many of these firearms....but the weapons used in the latest mass murders have no more beauty to them than a used toilet brush....and a lot less practical purpose."               

Are We In The Tribulation Right Now?  As for the four horses of Revelation....it is clear what three of them are....but it is the first rider....on the white horse....that is problematic.....for if it should turn out that that horse and rider were....for example....pestilence....the pandemic....then we would in effect be in the tribulation and not know it. The rider on the red horse is much easier to determine....war. If it should come we might be forced to look back to see what we missed of the white horse.

You Can Only Serve One Master....folks....all I want you to do is to start thinking about this stuff. How many of you literally wasted three or four days thinking about the Masters golf tournament. Funny thing....it was April 10.....1961.....sixty-two years ago today....I was eleven years old....at a family gathering at my uncle's house in Buffalo....and Gary Player won the Masters that day. I remember that! There has been over sixty winners since then! I know men who live for this stuff...and it really cannot even compare in fanaticism to the Steelers! I would laugh if it wasn't so sad. It would be a weird gospel folks....the Son of God....becoming man....to be hammered with nails to a cross....so that we could spend our lives....cheering as our 245 pound linebacker....slams their 199 wide receiver to the ground....and this as even those around us....loved ones....and family....perish in ignorance....but that is apparently what we believe!

Sermon Of The Day....this is a weak...weak age for preaching....and that itself is a gross understatement. It's a very big part of why America is what it is today. We have no idea the glories of the Lord...and our own culpability in our nation's collapse....being that our preachers have no idea. So having said that....my daily habit is to listen to a sermon a day....often two or three sermons a day....from men of the past....or men today who preach like men of the past....and this for a few years now. Is this bragging? Let me tell you why it is not. It is probably why I know that Jesus is about to return.....along with so many others who know this....and you may not. So I recommend that you yourself search out sermons from....men of the past....or men today who preach like men of the past....because unless you are extremely fortunate....you are not being fed with the glories of our Savior. As of late I have been searching for Spurgeon sermons that were preached in the 1880s....as C. H. Spurgeon had thirty years of maturity under his belt. This one that I recommend to you is from July of 1885....and is titled....Purging of the Conscience. You have a long drive to work? Or you are retired like me and can listen while doing chores? Listen to sermons like this....and then see how the vanity and perishing of this world starts to come into focus. This is also a caveat folks. If you ask discernment of the Lord....sincerely....He is going to give it to you in ways that you may not expect....nor even desire at this time....but that you will forever be thankful for!
