We Wanted A Businessman To Be Our President

                  Friedrich....later Frederick Trump was born in Germany. He came to America and then to the Klondike Gold Rush....with thousands of others....to make his fortune....which he did....only he didn't mine gold....but served the miners with a restaurant and a brothel. He returned to New York....and then went back to Germany with the intent of applying for permanent residency....but they kicked him out....because he had originally left Germany to avoid their draft. He met and married Elizabeth Christ....and returned to New York....and established a real estate business. In 1918....a hundred years before the covid pandemic....he collapsed on a New York street and died from the Spanish Flu pandemic. A hundred years later....while dilly-dallying for months in the beginning of the coronavirus....Donald did not even know that his own grandfather died in a pandemic.
                  Frederick and Elizabeth had Fred Trump....who when his father died....he partnered with his mother in running the real estate business....and then she became chairman of the board....as he became the president of the company. Over the many years....Fred....in a shady manner....took advantage of any loophole that he could. He was investigated in 1954 by a senate committee for profiteering on the many programs designed to help returning WW II veterans....and was investigated again in 1961 by the state of New York for the same reasons. There were no charges brought. In 1971 he and Donald were accused of discrimination in their many rental units by not renting to blacks. This issue was settled.
                   Over his entire adult life....Donald would con you if he had to....or schmooze you....or threaten or buy you off. He had multiple failures but would cut his losses and leave others holding the bag. He was not successful when they designed the TV show The Apprentice....but they chose Donald because of his celebrity name. Both father and son would underestimate financial figures if it benefitted them....or overestimate them if they needed a loan. That is exactly how President Trump runs his administration. We conservatives wanted a businessman for a change to be our president......well we got one.
