"Let My People Go!"

              Moses had been a shepherd in the desert of Midian....for forty years....when God appeared to him....and told him to go to Pharaoh....and tell him....that God said...."Let my people go!" We all know what transpired after that.
               We in American evangelicalism right now....have no voice that can speak as to the nation....or the 'Pharaoh.' This can change in a day....but as for right now....since Billy Graham and John MacArthur and R. C. Sproul and Voddie Baucham and Tim Keller....and maybe a very few others are gone....there is no one of that stature. You might come up with a few names of your own....and they may have great followings.....Jonathan Cahn would be one....and they may even be able to start a movement....but not have enough wisdom to....stop a movement.
               Donald Trump has taken captive....and this increasingly so for the past eleven years....much if not most of American evangelicalism. He has a hold over them. Paul asked the Galatians...."Who Has bewitched you?" Well...Trump has bewitched some members of just about every congregation in America....enough to effectively have it said....that he holds evangelicalism captive....the Trumpian Captivity of the Church!
               Oh that we had today a shepherd....with enough gravitas in American public life....to come out publicly and tell Trump.....that God says to him....."Let my people go!" Let them go...."that they may serve Me." (Exodus 9:1) Run again for president....make yourself king....hold sway over the multitudes that want to continue to blindly serve you....but let those who have groaned under the weight of greed and pride and revenge....and have forsaken dependence on God...."Not by might nor by power"....in favor of dependence on that might and power....and this for a decade now....let them go....that they may worship the only true God!
