The Day After

               In any other time period....with any other president....the remarks would be encouraging and appropriate....but not with Trump. He called into CBS....to congratulate the Democrats on their win. Twenty-four hours earlier they were a party of communist Jihadists! It is far more than political blindness....as it is a serious psychological illness....for him to look at what happened in yesterday's elections....and say that the problem was that he was not on the ballot....but that's what he said.
               Woe are us. All of our moorings that had kept us from drifting into the rocks....and this for centuries through storms...have frayed and been ripped to shreds....setting us adrift with the mother of all storms already bending the palm trees down in worship to the god of the wind and sea.
                My goodness....twenty-four hours ago this president....on his own....and lying and bending the truth along the way....he probably would not even have mentioned it if not asked about Israel.....he reversed United States foreign policy on aid for Israel's defense....in the process bringing a lot of added criticism of Netanyahu in Israel....as they are trying to form some kind of government....and also in the process....causing other allies in the Middle East to wonder if they are next? Woe are us because of the lack of leadership and wisdom that we have in our White House....and both aisles of our Congress.
                Somewhere along the line in this long and drawn-out collapse of America....the point may come when pastors see that they actually have a responsibility to lay out God's warning in end times prophecy to those in their pews? The situation may become so dire that they no longer worry that someone might call them a date-setter? It may be that the decision to warn and an attempt to awaken may be taken out of their hands....that a mere occasional mention of lifeboats available on the promenade.....is replaced by a quickly listing ship.....panic and whistles and directions to enter the lifeboats?
