Stolen Valor

The following post and preface are from earlier this summer:

May God have mercy upon these people who took upon themselves the responsibility of strengthening and protecting our constitutional republic by keeping the citizenry informed yet have failed so miserably that enemies of America actually consider them to be allies. May He have mercy upon those who consider themselves too dignified and righteous to call out their own side on mob violence. May He have mercy upon the rest of us who bear no small responsibility in our nation's demise through years and in my case decades of enjoying freedoms and liberty yet too enmeshed in in the benefits to be vigilant to understand and defend them.

Stolen Valor

We have legally aborted 55 million lives since 1973....yet we still proclaim over and over when involved in polemics that America is the greatest nation on earth. There is a major disjuncture here between the statement and reality. It's not denial, for we admit the figures. We just blame others in order to keep the title.
We have turned our children's schooling over to anyone with a few academic letters after their name. We can't mention our Creator in school, we have to teach what the government wants or they take monies away, they drug our children while predators in the entertainment industry fill their young minds with the violence that makes the experts prescribe the drugs to begin with. These same predators have built a music industry where it is virtually impossible to to keep our children away from the pied pipers. We bought into the Progressive's schemes a century ago and since then we have taught our children how to read with methods that were designed to subjugate them rather than enhance their individuality. And once again...we do all this and continue to call ourselves the greatest nation on earth!
Violence is overtaking us and mobs rule. Laws mean little to nothing....truth means even less. Freedom of speech is gone if it offends anyone but the Christian. Freedom of religion applies only to those who are not Christian. Hold on to your money for the government will tax and regulate anything it wants to pay for their mistakes. And in all of this we call ourselves the greatest nation on earth!
Pensions in the public sector are often so high as to bankrupt communities. Try to get those pensions back down to a reasonable rate and you would think by the protests that you are stealing their money.
We have no borders to protect us. Our military is being downsized and social engineered to death. Our corporations long ago divorced the employees who built the corporations and then married stockholders who will bink them in a second if a better deal comes along. Those who can, give themselves huge bonuses for profits made by taking away the benefits of those who produced the profits. And this is a great country?
We have a Marxist president...who we know nothing about that wasn't scripted in Saul Alinsky's playbook for professional radicals. Our Congress is feeble at best. Our Supreme Court has been half-stacked with minds that Thomas Jefferson couldn't even communicate with. As a people we are drunk with our entertainments. Our youth won't read a book if it doesn't have pictures in it.  Our churches think that they are Christian simply because they have a passion play and a nativity scene.
It's considered fraud to falsely claim to have earned military medals and decorations but that is what we do when we boast that our nation is the greatest country on earth. Others earned that distinction but it no longer applies. As pertaining to us... it's as bogus as Barack Obama's Nobel Peace Prize. Is there yet a remnant of that nation once highly favored by God? As sure as our military's courage and valor there is! As certain as millions of other Americans who are fighting tooth and nail to restore some semblance of sanity and honor to our country there is! If you would poll them I would expect most to say that we are not a great nation anymore. They shed the same tears that I shed. Their prayers are similar to mine. Their anger is palpable at what we have become.
If we do not accept the fact that we are no longer the America of our predecessors we will in no way be able to discern God's judgments that are on our very doorstep, and will feel no great compulsion to fall on our knees seeking mercy of Him who birthed, blessed and sustained us before this our great rebellion.
