Classified....For All Who Have Ears To Hear

There is an upside to having your posts monitored and that is that you get to write to an individual one on one, and he or she has to read what you write because it is their job. So this post is addressed to that certain someone who may be in that situation. I presume that I can be a little bolder than usual since this is work related.
Since I have your ear I want to bring up the gospel of Jesus Christ and I'll make it very short with only a couple of questions and comments. Here we go! Do you realize that you will indeed stand before God some day? If so, have you thought about what will happen when you do? I'll pause for a moment for you to consider this. Please don't ignore the question. What do you have to lose?
You are obviously a college graduate and must have put a lot of hours in working on a major. A quick estimate here....how much study and how many books did you read in your major? I'll guess that it was at least hundreds of hours and dozens of books. And you have been rewarded for all that work or you wouldn't have the employment that you have today. Here's the kicker, and you'll know where I'm going with this. How much time have you spent....time spent with the same intensity that you gave to your college studies...in studying not only God's Word....the Bible....but reading primary sources? My guess is that you spent a few hours...on a few occasions....over a number of years...with no primary sources.
You consider yourself a logical person right...and pretty smart...smart enough to be given an assignment where analysis is required. I myself was an analyst when in the service. I even had a Top Secret clearance. (By the way...Hillary should never again even be allowed in the same room with classified material) So analyze this. How do expect to understand anything of the majesty and wonders and righteousness and judgements of Jesus Christ if you didn't apply yourself to His inspired books with even 1% of the effort that you did in preparing for a profession? I could ask this question to almost anyone. It can't be done. It's no wonder that you have no idea what can drive a person like Billy Graham for seventy years....or causes an Eric Liddell to give up fame and fortune for a peasant village in war-torn China....or give courage to a martyr about to be burned alive....or hope incomparable and joy unspeakable to a washer woman who spent most of her life cleaning the floors of the rich and famous.
Friend, you probably think that you will be alright when you stand before God....most everyone does who is in your position, but had you put the time into studying God's Word that you did getting a college degree then you would have come to a completely different conclusion.
That's all I have. You did your job and I did mine. Think about these questions when your head hits the pillow tonight. I hope that your career goes well... for you worked for it. I hope that you will dwell on integrity in your work, and treasure honor as a reward, and mostly that logic...simple logic....informs you of the mistake that you may have made.
