Our corporate hope in the turmoil ahead is in the pulpits that will be
filled only hours from now. These men need your prayers! At this time
they do not see what is being required of them. What it is that blurs
God's written Word to them, God only knows. Those prayers need your
blood and sweat and tears. A great rendering of God's warnings to us is
needed or we will be caught unawares, and a great resuscitation is
needed if we are to cast the baubles of this world aside.
Lord, endue these men with the power of your Holy Spirit, that we might see more clearly our grave predicament, that we might know the foolishness of battling the evils of this world alone, and that we might call out....that our pulpits might call out....Come Lord Jesus....finally recognizing the times that we live in, the evil of these days, and that the comfort and surety of..."The Lord is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble" is reserved for "....those who take refuge in Him"... for... "with an overwhelming flood he will make an end of Nineveh"....a city, to our great shame, that we have come to resemble.
