Various news outlets carried reports on United States preparations for a possible attack on North Korea. The intent of these type of releases by our government, and there have been a few over the past few months, is to prepare the American public for what is most likely ahead.
We are of course not prepared. We may think about it when these headlines make it impossible to ignore the situation but we are for the most part incapable of putting this dangerous situation in the proper perspective.
We, all of us, have permitted North Korea to get this far. We played our politics and paid far more attention to our 401 and our calorie intake than to our enemies and their lightning raids on our corporations. China and/or their investors now owns or controls companies in aerospace, telecommunications, foods, appliances, the auto industry, finance, energy, entertainments of all sorts, hotels and resorts, plenty of real estate, even healthcare. They now control Forbes Magazine, over a trillion dollars of our debt, and they are getting close to approval on acquiring the Chicago Stock Exchange!
We long ago handed the education of our children over to Progressives who proceeded to turn out generation after generation that cares little if anything about God and less about liberty other than being free to buy whatever smart phone they want.
We are taking a leisurely stroll on a brand new pier, built on sand with cheap pilings. A storm of epic proportions is bearing down upon us....but it's a storm that we are ready for.....our iPhone cameras at the ready to capture the excitement and then place the video on YouTube to give us our fifteen minutes of fame.
Our pulpits, once functioning lighthouses that were built to warn, now are used for weekly tours only.... painted in bright colors, with a latte machine at the entrance; their operators wouldn't know how to light their lamp if their life depended on it, and they have no oil even if they did.
My wife was just this minute stung by a wasp. I kid you not. We have the preparations on hand for such a situation. I'm off to help. Are you prepared for tribulations that by any estimate using common sense are just ahead of us?
