Whatever The Analogy......We Are At The Lowest Point

                Transgenderism....or something similar enough to be categorized as such....had been in existence for probably.....millenia. None of the social issues that divide America today are newly invented. Men with men....women with women....drugs....nothing is new.....just as Solomon wrote....under the inspiration of God. Sacrificing children to pagan gods for instance....it is well documented in God's Word....and throughout history.....whether it be Carthage or the Aztecs. Today the god is personal freedoms....and the method is called abortion.
                 There were so many times over so many years.....where at the beach....in the surf....I may have just body-surfed in....and sat in the exposed sand.....as a gentle flow of the sparkling remnants of the wave that I came in on....sleeks back into the ocean. All is pleasantly calm....for a few seconds....and then the next wave....not seen....body-slams me. This is particularly problematic at my age as I do not react as quickly as I once did...and I'm not as strong to face the wave as I once was.
                 If you are old as I am you may very well remember a fad that was called....Biorhythms....this from the 1970s. According to this pseudoscience....the body is subject to biological cycles....physical and emotional and intellectual. And all three cycles are of different lengths....23 days....28 days...and 33 days....all functioning in sine waves. So....in reference to one's day of birth....there are days on the calendar when all three cycles are are on a high point....and days when they are are all on the lowest point...and there is everything in-between. So...if you were an athlete....that followed this fad....you might feel confident that all of your skills would be at their best on the day of the big game. I actually remember one time looking at Terry Bradshaw's cycle!

                 Well that is nonsense but we do....Israel of old and all of us today.....move in cycles....of rebellion to God....and times when for one reason or another we may have been humbled. Referring for a moment to the concept of those rhythmic cycles of sine waves....we in this world today seem all to be on the lowest of the low point. Another way to look at it might be the concept of the....perfect storm....with monstrous tempests coming at us in all directions....and yet another way to look at it might be the pattern on a shotgun target....where most of the holes are in the middle. Compare this to the target from a scattergun....where there is no center. There was a day....all of my life anyway....where the fringe was....the fringe….but there is no fringe today....for there is no discernable center!  Cycles or no cycles....we are in deep trouble....rebellious Israel if you will....Ahab and Jezebel. Our only recourse is repentance....and seeking God's mercy.....but we seem not to be aware of any of the above concepts.
