I remember election night 1960....with the mechanical numbers bouncing into place every time a new vote total was given. I remember all the hubbub over Castro deposing Batista. Our next door apartment neighbors had the last name Batista. Obviously I remember those thirteen days on October....and the assassinations....and Vietnam....and Watergate....and the hostages in Iran and how that affected the election cycle. Anyone my age can make these statements....but what we are experiencing today....what you are seeing take place in America and the whole world....is the difference between a small cut on the knee....and that cut becoming infected where the leg is amputated....and maybe even resulting in death.
Take Bible prophecy out of it and international politics out of it....and standing on its own the potential tumult exceeds even 1917 in St. Petersburg and Berlin in the 1930s. It seems that everything has collapsed simultaneously. What is law worth today? Journalism has died....replaced by the podcast. Our educational system is ruled by crass political operatives. Libraries and bookstores have become nothing but feeding grounds for anti-God sentiment. I will look on at a Joint Session of Congress and want to weep because of the people on the one side of the aisle....and ask mercy of God for who we have become on the other side of the aisle.
Someone recently used me as a Guinea Pig for viewing a 'selective attention' test video....six people in a circle....three wearing white and three wearing black....two basketballs....we.....I.....are asked to watch the video and attempt to count the number of times that the people in white passed the ball. The video started....I counted.....15 passes....it was correct....what I missed was a black guerilla walk right between all of them. You can view this by Googling...."gorilla selective attention."
OK....that's one psychological characteristic of me....here's another. I finished watching the video the second time....this time easily seeing the gorilla....and after being amazed for about fifteen seconds....my mind went to the divide in America today....where we cannot see the gorilla....more appropriately the roaring lion....or the wolf even in our sheep fold.
We can't stop AI.....it is money....and it is human pride in what we can invent. We are a de facto pagan nation....with at most ten per cent regenerated born again believers. Wolves dominate the top of our leadership. Demonic activity is as in the days of the Lord's first coming.
Paul would today look at our temples and idols and then stand before our churches and proclaim the Unknown God to us....and he would tell us outright that the ship is going down but all those in Christ will live by our faith.
