Ben Shapiro graduated from high school at 16....UCLA at 20....was the youngest syndicated columnist in the nation at 17....and had written two books by the time he was 21. I have pretty much followed him the entire way as his first book....Brainwashed, How Universities Indoctrinate America's Youth....was very much needed back in 2004. Today he has national name recognition and is a staunch defender of conservative causes....and to his credit he left Breitbart over ethical concerns. His latest article....Why Donald Trump Won The GOP Nomination....states that Trump is the presumptive nominee because Joe Biden is so bad....and because the opposition weaponized the legal system against Trump. He adds other reasons....for example the "Russian collusion nonsense"....as he labeled it.....and "blaming him [Trump] for the pandemic"....and the bias of the news media on things such as the Hunter Biden laptop. He said that he did not vote for Trump in 2016....in fact told others not to vote for Trump back then....but did vote for him in 2020?
Ben is as a professional golfer who came onto the scene in 2004 and won two majors and another dozen tournaments in the following two or three years but has since lost much of his brilliance on the course. He had an interesting interview with John MacArthur a while back....which was good in just picking the preeminent evangelical minister in America....but Shapiro may be going to John MacArthur today....and others like him....for insight on Trump and evangelicals. If he is then that is a big mistake....for John MacArthur himself is as one of the greatest golfers of all time....but who cannot today even make the cut in the Senior Circuit tournaments. (I'm referring only here to his failure today to differentiate between the gospel and politics....and his mistakes on the pandemic....otherwise he is the same John MacArthur) I still respect this courageous young man....Ben Shapiro....it is that the only thing profound about this latest article of his....is how profoundly mistaken he was in it.
Haley and DeSantis and others make little major headway with Trump because they address the ball on the tee....if you will....all wrong. I have seven years of critiquing Trump from an evangelical perspective in these posts should any of these candidates find them and be interested....and as of now....I have one hundred books devoured on this man who is a genuine biblical false prophet. I can only give one example in a short post like this....so I'll chose....The Russia Hoax!
What Trump has done....along with his talk radio acolytes....is repeat hundreds if not thousands of times....each one of them....the term Russia Hoax....and as we all should know by now....if you repeat a lie continuously.....year after year after year.....people are eventually going to accept it as true. And it is thus accepted as fact today! Folks there are a dozen good books out there that address Trump and Russia but they will never find their way into the hands of conservatives.
Here is the situation....Trump had decades of financial dealings in Russia and with Russian money-men....some of it very shady. We all know who Donald Trump was....do we not? Well the other side was even more interested in who he was. He became a prime kompromat candidate! Our intelligence agencies knew this....and he was running for president of our country! I don't know if any salacious tape exists in Russia or not....nor do I care! That whole thing became a tabloid Titanic sinking with it the real concerns on Donald Trump's relations with people like Putin. If our intelligence or justice agencies would bend rules.....even break rules to get Hunter Biden....we would love it....and we would even demand it to stop a terrorist attack....but with Trump...to us....it was and is a different story.
Concerning evangelicals....this is not a....lesser of two evils situation....Biden or Trump! This is a situation of do what is right and trust in God....or go to Egypt for help.
