Can 100 Men Defeat 1 Gorilla? I Do Not Know Nor Care....But 1 Man....Can Bring Thousands To Christ!

               I saw the title on a news site and read most of the article. Apparently some blogger came up with the idea of asking others who read his posts if 100 men could defeat 1 gorilla. I know that concept has kept many of us up many nights. Well....the question became an Internet sensation I guess. Probably millions have read it....I don't know....I'm glad that millions do not read these posts because my viewing audience is so small that I literally pray for every person that visits....which means that I am praying for you.
             Anyway....when I read this article my mind went immediately to Samson....who picked up the jawbone of an ass and killed 1000 Philistines. God can give strength to such a man. I can only imagine how smart he made Solomon. I know how brave that He made Paul and all the Apostles....and all the martyrs throughout the ages.
             I know how he could take a profane tinker and turn him into John Bunyan....and take a young Spurgeon....with a Cockney accent that his wife lovingly described as more of an affliction than an accent....and turn him immediately into the Prince of Preachers....and I know how God took a young boy....with a Pittsburgh accent....and turned him into the greatest teacher on Christian doctrine of his generation....that being of course....R. C. Sproul.
             So I do not care whether 100 or 1000 men could defeat a gorilla....but I do care that you know that God gives the power of preaching to men at times....that is equivalent to any of......the exploits above....so until you find a pastor that can display such power in preaching...."the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ"....(Rev. 11"15)....go to the words of these men from the past....whether it be someone preaching on tape Spurgeon's sermons....or Marty Lloyd-Jones himself preaching on tape....on Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress on tape....or the teaching videos of R. C. Sproul!
