Only the latest atrocity.....Trump today is floating the idea of Stephen Miller for national security advisor. Maybe you remember how back in the first term He floated the idea of Ivanka for Treasury....because she was...."good with numbers." It was about that time that I started to read on who this guy Trump was. He wants his people near him who will not ever challenge him.....but protect him from investigations...and he will look you right in the eye and tell you how important merit is for appointments.
Preface and update: I am listening right now to the speeches of Trump and the 'faith leaders' on this National Day of Prayer....which is in reality....one big beautiful lie. This is not Christianity....it is the most sterile religion. Paula White is giving a long prayer....she is a genuine biblical false prophet....as is this president who came right down in the middle of evangelicalism....and to this day....ten years later....now tells us that the Golden Age of America is just beginning....when God's Word to us tells us....the exact....opposite. Where are our pastors?
Update again: I was dining last evening with a friend....in our town....and as we walked to the vehicle....the bell tower began to play the Star Spangled Banner. I stopped as I always do when this happens and removed my hat and stood at attention until it was over. My wife and I have returned over the years to Fort Bragg and Fort Dix and Fort Devens....places that I was stationed....and also to Fort Jackson and Paris Island. We have visited many Civil War battlefields over the years....Gettysburg many times....and Arlington National Cemetary also many times....where my father is buried. I have for decades walked up to soldiers in uniform just to thank them for their service. I love our military....but I would not attend this parade that is tentatively being planned for June....and on Trump's birthday no less....for this is not planned in the right spirit....and not for the right reasons...and with the country totally polarized it is neither an honorable nor wise thing to do.
One of the challenges that I have in these posts is that I post so often that new visitors....particularly those on college campuses....at most read only the last three posts....so when I make a statement such as I did a week ago...."Trump has tormented the entire world for ten years now"....being taken in totally by this man....they have no idea what I'm talking about. So I have to at times try to put a lot into a short post. This is one of them:
I voted for Trump in 2016.....and celebrated....until I saw some serious problems....started reading and now I am over a hundred books on him. I am a conservative and an evangelical now for forty-two years.
The liberals and progressives hate Trump for three reasons....first because they do not like anything conservative....and it has to be noted here that we conservatives put out the employment ad for a president....these conservative ideas were not nor were they ever Trump's thoughts....being a con man.....he simply answered the employment ad. Second they have known Trump since the 70s because he was one of them....so they know very well that he is con man....and third because they have not been brainwashed by him....like we have been....they can see the horror....(another word I used recently)....of what he is doing to America and the world.
"Russian hoax" is embedded in the mind of the MAGA person....but it was not a hoax....and if you would read on your own....and not under the orders of the Trump people....you would see this. Our intelligence agencies knew that there was something wrong with the relationship of Trump to Putin. They investigated it. Trump got his by now brainwashed people in Congress to end that....and now he is purging anyone and everyone who ever investigated him. If you cannot see that Trump is on Putin's side you must be lying to yourself.
Trump his whole life....destroys just about everything that he touches....from family to work associates to people that he purposely destroys....to those....like Guiliani and the My Pillow Guy....and hundreds more....who are destroyed simply by flying too close to his flame. He has destroyed conservatism....the Republican Party....alliances that held at bay communism and totalitarianism....and neutered evangelicalism....and many once faithful ministers.
One last thing for this short and incomplete summary....for there is much more....we have been led to believe that Trump made this great political comeback....which is only partially true....for he....since he brought pure horror upon on Capital in January of 2021....he has jack-booted and arm-twisted his way to the 2024 nomination....and purged and threatened everyone since getting back into the now...ugly....emperor's throne room of the Oval Office.
