Steve Bannon's Breitbart

It's still dark as I begin typing on this New Years day morning yet Steve Bannon and Alex Marlowe are behind their microphones on Breitbart's early morning show. For most of the past decades in the last week of the year I would fret all the top conservative radio hosts being off on vacation. President Obama could use that week to slide in a controversial decision because the big dogs of radio were not there to bark. I didn't fret this year because....one.....Donald Trump is the president.....and two.....the top dogs of conservative talk have been pretty much worthless anyway as they have long since have signed on to Donald Trump's defense team and given us little actual meat to chew on. We've explored every nook and cranny of the coup attempt on President Trump but the source of this and most of America's ills.....Communism.....roams free and unhindered.....even welcomed in our urban centers from New York City to San Francisco.
Bannon broke the mold. He almost cut in half, from 21 hours to twelve hours, the time between live broadcasts during the weak, and the host is always a Breitbart host. Part of his motivation is that he knows the seriousness of the situation that America faces, and part is that he really is a Honey Badger. Our local Living Treasures mini-zoo has one of these fearless animals. It is constantly pacing back and forth....pacing isn't even the word for it....as if looking for something to attack and tear apart....just my take on this animal.
The problem with this new force of Bannon's Breitbart is not really that he carries water for President Trump.  He does carry the water but he seems willing to dump it on the President if necessary. The problem is that his method of extreme regimentation stifles free thought in favor of hammering home the only acceptable direction to go. I've commented before that Alex Marlowe takes on a new persona when he sits next to Steve Bannon. Raheem Kassam is very good on his own but he also defers to Steve Bannon when the two are co-hosting.
There are other problems.....today for example.....Steve Bannon is taking Jesuit Pope Francis to task. Bannon is Catholic and even the Protestant conservative talk show hosts hold back on this....but Steve Bannon is moving Breitbart a little too close for comfort to Catholicism being the primary religious representative of Christendom.....as Chesterton labelled it....(Christendom-not necessarily Christianity). This may indeed be the case in the rest of the world....but not in America. Bannon is slowly and subtly driving a wedge between his Sola Scriptura Christian listening audience...and everyone else. (It's a tough book to get a hold of but Malachi Martin's 1987 The Jesuits (reviewed July 7, 2017) and George Neumayr's The Political Pope (reviewed June 26, 2017) will inform on the Jesuits and Pope Francis.
I am no fan of Senator Lindsey Graham but he was very prescient in his comments yesterday in that he said..."If (Donald Trump) blinks (s)...then God help us all." The problem here is that Donald Trump remains the quintessential Norman Vincent Peale disciple. The following post is only a few days old:

Conservative Talk Radio

Republican Congressman Louie Gohmert guest-hosted for Sean Hannity on his radio show and it was a blast from the past as to pure conversation where the host wasn't the conductor of the orchestra directing every instrument. There were callers for Trump and some callers who were critical. I actually felt like listening. No one was yelling....and no one was cheerleading. One particular caller likened the progressive tax system with the Communist Manifesto.....and Louie Gohmert knew what he was talking about because the Congressman had actually read the Communist Manifesto..
The day started in a similar way with Raheem Kassam sitting behind the mic at Breitbart's morning radio show with listeners calling in to either agree with or disagree with a trucker who was upset about how the the new tax bill would effect his livelihood.....and Kassam just let them go......more interested in hearing their opinions than telling them who was right and who was wrong.
The big boys need to step back for a little introspection. I understand their concern....the last time we had a coup in progress against a sitting United States President was in late 1963. This is serious stuff that's going on with Donald Trump. Look what happened to Roy Moore when the big money men want someone destroyed....and speaking about Roy Moore.....Louie Gohmert gave him the great respect that he is due....not budging an inch like most talk show hosts have done. If we refuse to allow legitimate criticism of President Trump then we are no better than the mainstream media that we rail against!
