Let me call it the Rush Limbaugh element or faction of the conservative movement in the Republican Party.....the movement that routed the Progressive/Socialist/Communist Clinton/Obama camps in the last election. They....those behind the microphones.....most but not all of them.....do not accurately describe our concerns about President Trump....and often lump us all in with those who have come to be known as Never Trumpers.....which we are not. Yes he was the last stone set in place. He had a lot to do with defeating Hillary Clinton.....admittedly an understatement.....but he had little to do with the formation of the movement of which he unfortunately came to be known as....its champion. He may have been the capstone....but he was not the cornerstone....of which every other stone is aligned with.
I wrote a post earlier in the year to which I gave the title Miranda Rights. I'm just going to summarize it here. There's a young lady who is heir to a lot of money.....and there is a handsome Lothario type. They get married.....a rather odd couple. Her friends wondered just how long it will last...for he is a cad. There comes an evening when an argument develops and the man blurts out that he never loved the young lady and married her only for her money. The relationship is over.
Donald Trump wooed us in much the same way and it was proven this past March. A fake Obamacare repeal bill was written that some called Obamacare Light and others called Obamacare 2.0. President Trump said it was a great bill and was upset when the Freedom Caucus would not sign onto it....the Freedom Caucus being those in the House of Representatives who actually fight for what they promised us they would fight for. President Trump then threatened to work to defeat in the 2018 elections....these....the strongest Representatives that we have! He very clearly told us in this fiasco that he married us only for our money. We can work together and may even have to remain married.....but he would have lost our trust even if this was his only dalliance.....but there have been many more.
We do not buy into any of this nonsense about the Congress letting The President down on Obamacare repeal because that is not what happened. If others want to live in this fantasy then that is their choice, but turning a blind eye on this will only lead to turning a blind eye again and again.....and that is exactly what is happening. Eventually in a situation like this....one will become as politically deceptive as the Democrats ever were.....which is also what is happening.
The Drudge Report has an article right now titled...."Top Marine General: There's a War Coming." We.....once again the non-Rush Limbaugh element or faction....have not backed off an inch is supporting this president against this coup being waged against him.....but we will not enable him in the political sphere to continue to seek his personal economic agenda....which is his primary agenda....at the expense of principle or truth.....for to do so would not strengthen nor prepare him for the very real battles that may lie just ahead!
