I am posting so much that I have no choice but to occasionally summarize viewpoints for new visitors. Donald Trump is an abject failure as a statesman....with a boatload of serious mental issues. I voted for him....and celebrated....until it became apparent almost immediately that there were big problems here....beginning with Ivanka and her totally overmatched and outclassed husband almost unbelievably put in there as a.....'Senior Adviser to the President.' We should have barred the door to clear the air right then and there. 'Drain the swamp' was and continues to be a joke. Healthcare was just a big show during the primary campaigns.....and the wall was even worse.
President Trump has totally screwed up the situation with North Korea....and I would not even have thought it possible to make that situation worse. He has poked everyone in the eye over the entire course of his administration. He is despised for good reason....not because of fake news....but rather because he has spent his life rubbing people the wrong way....and he seems incapable of even analyzing his words as to whether or not there is truth in them.
His Narcissism is overwhelming to behold....so much so that the 25th Amendment should probably be kept dusted off. He is a tyrant....who would be a dictator if he had his way. He brings out the worst in people....allies and opponents alike....and has dragged many down in his own personal swamp of hypocrisy and greed and lust for power.
There is a coverup in progress that makes Watergate look like nothing. He won't release documents....and he won't let others even testify....even though he demands documents and testimony from opponents. His objective is to keep his supporters....in the dark....and angry....focusing on anything and everything to take the heat off of himself...while the Democrats oblige by giving him an army of strawmen to beat upon.
He single-handedly destroyed talk radio as far as giving its listeners even a chance to see who Donald Trump really is....and he destroyed the conservative movement....and that part of evangelicalism that failed to spot a genuine false prophet. He is vindictive. He has no wisdom....nor desire to acquire any. All that is left is Trumpism. All those cabinet members and national security advisers and other appointees who have either fallen by the wayside...or been fired through Twitter....or got sick of everything and just left on their own....are testimony to a government lacking stability....and this at a time when we are either threatening war....or at least risking war....often to beef up the economy....in order to secure a reelection.
Any other conservative candidate back in 2016 would have brought short-term economic gains....any one of them....and probably without grossly expanding an already monstrous national debt. Any one of them would have nominated the same conservative judges. Conservatives and libertarians and Tea Party people worked hard for....in some cases....decades....and were bent upon nominating a candidate who was one of us....but Donald Trump elbowed everyone out of the way....("Look at that face....who would vote for a face like that"...."Lyin Ted")....and he now calls this....The Age of Trump...."When the Age of Trump is looked back on many years from now, I only hope that a big part of my legacy will be the exposing of massive dishonesty in the Fake News.")
The Rasmussen Daily Tracking Poll from last Friday was 52%....a pickup of five points in about a week as supporters like what they see....a man who they believe fights for what he believes in....but they have been hoodwinked....taken in....and held captive in their ignorance to the point where commiseration turned to bonding with their captor. President Trump can thank this new generation of Democrats for his continued support....but we ourselves have failed to remain vigilant....failed to hold Donald Trump to account from day one....failed to hold talk radio accountable....failed to hold ourselves accountable for the condition we are in....and most importantly failed to seek God's wisdom....and to rely upon Him....and to heed His warnings which were as clear as crystal and perspicuous so that anyone should understand....but one has to read or to hear....whereas our eyes and our ears were from day one fixed and attuned to the colossal figure that came down that escalator.
Honestly folks....I don't know if the 'right' side of this political and governmental mess in America will wake up to Donald Trump or not....for there is a darkness about him that is so very disturbing....particularly in that so many otherwise intelligent people have fallen sway almost as if they are in a trance. (Surely Rush Limbaugh is in a worshipful trance) Christians should have almost been expecting a delusion such as this....and in retrospect....after decades of ministers relating God's warnings....how could we have so easily fallen for promises of 'peace and security'....given what we have become as a nation. As I've written so often over the years....there may be a winnowing coming within the church....within evangelicalism....where some will see what is truly happening....but the rest will be outraged at the mere suggestion that God is judging us.
