A Lord's Day Sermon For You

Just in case the events a the past few days have persuaded you that it might be wise to avoid attending churches services....and if you do not have streaming capabilities from your church....you might consider listening to a Charles Spurgeon sermon titled....Unimpeachable Justice.....preached from the pulpit of the New Park Street church on June 15, 1856. It's a  marvelous sermon based on Psalm 51:4 from this then young pastor only four days short of his twenty-second birthday. It's a sermon that does much more than edify....as it humbles to that degree that every Christian must have experienced to in fact be a Christian. Are my words too strong? Well....consider listening to it and then see if my assessment may be accurate.
On these events from the past few days....I have to wonder once again if this might be the Lord's Day that the Holy Spirit begins to awaken our pulpits in America....to see the futility of trying to build a nation on prosperity and power....and to begin to see how we may have gone astray in our objectives....and on what does and does not glorify God?
