I try not to think about it but it is nearly impossible. Is there one of these men that in my vain thoughts I would rather win this election? There probably is if I would let these thoughts run rampant but I chose to leave this to God's will....not willing even to cast a vote for either....knowing that God had warned us that judgment was coming to America....this over multitple decades through His Word....and by way of the men who brought it to our attention....but those men are just about all gone....gone to be with their Lord....their task completed. These two men battling each other for this position are a big part of that judgment....while the church has indeed already been judged for its part in it....as pastors today by and large are as shepherds without insight as to how to warn the sheep.
If Trump retains his position....I would expect that the winnowing in the church which has to come...to come quickly....as true Christians would begin to see who this man is that they fell hook, line and sinker for. If he has a Trump congress behind him there may be no stopping him. If the other man wins then I would expect much of the church to return somewhat to where they should have been all along....looking to Christ....this without the grand delusion of Trump tugging at them.
We have brought all of this upon ourselves as we ignored the clearest of warnings in God's Word not to put our trust in princes and military might and riches. God indeed gave us Donald Trump.....for His purposes....and not those of the many false prophets who saw Trump as a Jehu or Cyrus.
Benjamin Netanyahu was taken in also. The paperwork on the Golan and the embassy do not mean a thing. Our duty to Israel is to be true to our word when difficult times arise....100% true to our word....and Donald Trump's word is worthless....as every decision that he will ever make will depend upon how it might possibly effect him....and that's not something that should make Bibi sleep well at night.
We should find out in the next week who God will have put in that once august office....that is now but a "den of thieves." We can trust in whatever this outcome might be....for His will is perfect....and His promises true....of which contain mercies to all of us who see our corruption and then turn to Him....knowing that no matter what happens....as Paul writes to us....."For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers. nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:38, 39)
