The urban New York/California liberal mindset....I don't know how else to describe it....that has dominated American culture....particularly entertainment culture....for many decades....is that which comprises the majority of recipients of the pejorative charge of Trump Derangement Syndrome...this from those of us on our side who simply cannot understand why all the outrage against Donald Trump
This culture....whether it is akin to the Al Sharpton or Howard Stern or Jerry Springer shock effect....has long been accepted by this urban liberal/Hollywood culture that rules television and film and celebrity. Donald Trump was always part of this....laughed at simply as....The Donald....but accepted as one who promulgated their free lifestyles in American life....(this is their concept of freedom and liberty....all of this ruled equally by elites from both coasts.They all knew how Donald Trump operated....with total unbridled narcissism and greed and deception....even to where he would 'stiff' contractors who did work for him....contractors....working men and women who supposedly were at the core of their political constituency. It did not matter because he was one of them. He added life to this celebrity culture that they thrived upon. He could have gone on forever like this....except in mid-stream....he decided to join the other side.....us! His antics now were unacceptable. How dare him use the very same radical absurdities they allowed him to use when he was among them....on them!
We can see a similar problem that evangelical charismatics have within their own movement. They thrive on gnosticism....with so-called prophets running around all over the place....each making money from the unattended sheep. This is OK....for they have among themselves an element of 'honor among thieves' where they agree not to criticize each other. It works only to a certain extent....for as time passes....which it has....the prophets get wilder and crazier as time go on....but they still cannot criticize the most egregiously and flamboyantly fake....for that would leave they themselves open to criticism.
We on our side cannot see what is going on. Yes we always knew that Donald Trump was nothing but a sideshow....and we did little other than laugh at his antics....but when we found ourselves in need of someone who would shake things up....and he came in roaring like a lion....we were thrilled!
We never knew of his lifelong habits and greedy schemes....as we were not a part of that culture....only an occasional observer. So we didn't really know who Donald Trump was....so whereas with liberals....Donald Trump merely came on stage at his performance times....got the laughs....and the money....and left....no big deal....everyone gets their share of the take....we were taken in....as if he were serious....not having any idea that he has done things like this his whole life.
Trump Derangement Syndrome republicans....primarily from the urban east coast areas.....did know who Donald Trump really was.....for they live right in the middle of that culture. They knew that the rest of us....led by Rush Limbaugh....were being had. Now we are in the fix....for if we kick Trump out of the show....he takes his captive audience with him.
