                There are hundreds of what are generally called....prophecy books.....out there. They range from very good to pure Gnosticism. Some are scholarly....even textbook type of books. J Barton Payne's 1973....Encyclopedia of Biblical Prophecy....would be one of them....Ron Rhodes....Daniel & Revelation another. Some are so popular that you can say that they have been read by the masses. Hal Lindsey's all-time classic....The Late Great Planet Earth....would be one....and also Tim LaHayes Left Behind series.  Some are the ultra-popular recent type....full of speculation and nonsense and worse....Jonathan Cahn's books would be like this. There are quite a number of solid books from Reformed scholars....excellent....and safe....but very limited....in that they are never going to believe that God is lifting veils on the Second Coming.
                   All I want to do here in this post is to highly recommend one author....and one particular book of his....his most recent. His name is Mark Biltz. He is the one who started the Blood Moon....craze....if you will....back in 2014. He was right on with his commentary on the prophetic importance of blood moons. That extraordinarily rare tetrad back in 2014/2015....of four consecutive blood moons....all on Jewish holidays....came and went....and people thought to themselves that nothing really happened. Well something did happen....as Donald Trump....came down that escalator....right into the middle of conservatism and evangelicalism....and proceeded in the past ten years to destroy and at least neuter both of them! I've read a lot of commentaries on the prophet Jeremiah....and Biltz's 2020....Decoding The Prophet Jeremiah....was the most helpful.
                    So please....spend a few bucks....and go out and buy....The Final Tyrant....Unmasking The Antichrist And His Last Days Agenda....and read it in no more than three days. Now that might be an odd thing to this say....but folks...it is long past time to start preparing for what is ahead! Put down the baubles and the novelties and the trivial and get to work.
                    There are a number of....'prophecy teachers'....out there who I think are honest and pretty good....but this Mark Biltz....a pastor and founder of El Shaddai Ministries....out in Washington state....is bringing up some things that no one else is touching....things that we need to consider right now! No one is perfectly right on this topic....Mark Biltz included....just as R. C. Sproul and John MacArthur....or Spurgeon and Lloyd-Jones....or even Calvin or Luther....were not perfect in their teaching....but we can do our very best to test everything....and pray in humility for wisdom and discernment....all to His glory....not to any author or teacher....and certainly not to us!
