If you watched Trump on TV this evening.....then you witnessed an extraordinary and possibly even an historic propaganda speech. In other words....you lived history this evening! You saw a president....make allegations that point to speculations. He referred time and again to CIA and FBI and other national intelligence agencies....people who are now all his own.....working at his microscopic direction. It wasn't thirty seconds into the speech that I was rolling my eyes at the gross exaggeration. President Trump needed this attempt....in spite of the great risk involved....because he needs the passage of this bill in congress....to greatly limit voter participation from millions of people who would have difficulty putting any required government document into motion....or else after the mid-terms....he may be in very big legal trouble.
Note: Any voter eligibility laws....changes....to be enacted....to protect the integrity of our electoral system....need also....every bit as much....to protect the voting rights of all Americans. This would be a difficult task....and it would take a lot of time....and under no circumstances should be done with this present bill....which is political and not fairness legislation. The 2028 election would be the earliest date for which to set a goal.
