Well let's see....we're still killing babies in the womb......but the Carrier Corporation promised to keep in the US a thousand of the jobs they were going to send to Mexico.....hmm....yeah that part about evens out! What else do we have.....we still pressure our children to say that homosexuality is good.....but on the other hand Ford is now going to make Lincolns in Kentucky and not south of the border! No, we may not be one iota closer to God but Donald Trump gave thanks on Thanksgiving and actually came close to mentioning who he was thankful to....that's progress! Yep...Drudge is right...America's great again all right....and God's warnings have been rescinded! Phew. That was close! You know I kinda like these tweet type of thoughts.....sure beats having to use up a whole lot of brain cells.
Actually I don't like this type of communication. I posted this in an attempt to get your attention. I was confident on election night and went back and forth on various state's election results websites until 3 AM. I wrote before we went to the polls that no one wanted Trump to win more than I did....but I added not for the same reasons.
Donald Trump is a vain and godless individual. If you are a Christian conservative and refuse to even acknowledge this you are merely fooling yourself. If you are at some sort of peace right now because of Mr. Trump's election then you are demonstrating exactly what the Bible warns against....that being....trusting in man....in armies....and essentially in your own strength.
Donald Trump will be in office but now it's time to pray for this maker of deals.....not that he succeeds in making America great again....for this cannot happen....nor should we even want it to for our concept of greatness is terribly skewed....but that God might have mercy on this man....and thus upon us also. America, on the whole, and surveys consistently show this, has little to no concept of God or the Bible.
Our churches on the whole are very weak at best, and if I've stepped on your toes then you might want to immerse yourself in church history through the Christian literature of the time for you would then see how far we have strayed...or at the very least how totally different we are from past church ages and from what preaching once was....or you can stay where you are but at least prepare yourself for some surprises. We have passed the point of no return in America. God's warnings have been ignored for upwards of a half century. Sorry bout that...and I'm as guilty as any visitor to these posts.
Back to Donald Trump....he's not a Progressive and therefore not a communist dupe as was his opponent....and hopefully not globalist controlled but we will have to wait on this. I doubt if he has ever had the Gospel of Jesus Christ presented to him in his life. He may have had lunch with Billy Graham or a cursory presentation given to him but his few awkward words on religion show that he hasn't a clue.
One last word to young people...millennials who may have come across these posts...if you fancy yourself to be somewhat of an enlightened and maybe even bold revolutionary so to speak....evidenced by compassion...clear thinking and a willingness to buck the accepted paradigms all around you...think again.....for "an enlightened and maybe even bold revolutionary...evidenced by compassion...clear thinking and a willingness to buck the accepted paradigms all around" is the biggest trap that has been set. You are not swimming against the current....you are being taken along with it. I say this from my own experience. My advice? Don't panic....trust in as well as love the Lord as never before...but trust not only with your whole heart and soul....but with your whole mind as you navigate these turbulent waters; and set your course according to the old charts....as I alluded to in the previous post....for therein is at least a hedge of protection from this sound-byte...Tweeting....Facebook culture that has engulfed us.
