The American public in general is losing its sources of information one by one. I cannot overemphasize the problem with this....we in America once had information available to us which we could digest...extract the nutrients and expel the rest. This was always a problem to the globalist and the communist....a problem they worked upon for nearly a century... and are now succeeding in rectifying.
Christian bookstores which were at one time ubiquitous across America are now almost gone...good luck Googling the Gospel of Jesus Christ.....for unless you know what you are doing you will be lost! This means that the Christian can have fun ordering the nonsense of The Shack or Joel Osteen from Amazon that they saw advertised on television but the average guy doesn't have a chance to even stumble across a book that might change his life....such as I did 35 years ago from authors such as Josh McDowell and C. S. Lewis to R. C. Sproul and those from the publishing house Banner Of Truth, or from John MacArthur and Michael Horton to Pilgrim's Progress and Charles Spurgeon. Even hotel chains are phasing out the Gideon Bible in the drawer of the bedside table!
Pittsburgh used to have two newspapers....the liberal Post-Gazette and the Libertarian/Conservative Tribune-Review. The Trib as we knew it is no longer....oh I guess that it's digital now....but that in essence means it is no more to the 'everyman' in the street. Fox News is on the way out and Rush Limbaugh's show has devolved (hopefully only temporarily) into doing nothing but defending President Trump's tweets. The Conservative side has morphed into the Democrat mode of 'defend your guy no matter how bad he is or how much he tries to deceive you.' Robert's Rules Of Order have been usurped by Rules For Radical Trumpsters.
The American pulpit is certainly not going to warn anyone about anything. Elementary education is more concerned about who uses what bathroom, secondary education is now just preparation for higher secondary education (formerly known as higher education) whose main purpose is to insure that no college student ever considers patriotism or, perish the thought, God.
So...on the surface, with a President Trump in office, it looks as if America is on the way back but such is not the case, for what little information we once had available to us is drying up and blowing away. Facebook has led us to a pond where we can gaze upon and admire our own image oblivious to a collapsing world around us, while tweeting has sucked out our brains and fed them to the sharks.
We are adrift on a sea of ignorance...with no compass...no rudder...no mast or sails...no captain...and with an iCloud hovering over us so that we could not even navigate by the stars had we even a serviceable ship to try to outrun the approaching hurricane.
