Winter......And Winter Weather

Every Christian today should be very familiar with.....even saturated at times with....the Olivet Discourse....where Jesus expounded on the disciples' question...."Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?" Chapters 24 & 25 in Matthew....chapter 13 in Mark....and chapter 21 in Luke should by now be totally highlighted in our Bibles....with maybe notations etched in pencil or ink wherever there is space on the page.

One of Jesus' remarks....this in verse 20 of chapter 24 of Matthew was...."But pray that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the sabbath day".....for there would be a day coming when what we saw before us was so clearly evidence of fulfilled Old Testament prophesy....("whoso readeth, let him understand" is even added)....that our response would be to evacuate....and hopefully the weather didn't hinder that evacuation.
This winter weather that we are experiencing right now all over America should at least cause us to ponder on how much we need power....if not just to keep the heat on in the winter. We have all just sat and prayed during some of the recent hurricanes.....and also as we saw the wild fires out of control out West....and as we at times over the past year....watched the news on the coronavirus deaths in hotspots as they developed in different places of America....at different times.
We have had....more accurately God has given us....over a century of "birth pangs" to meditate upon....(also mentioned in the Olivet Discourse)....but we don't....for it is similar to when Jeremiah gave this Word from the LORD beginning in Chapter 6:16...."Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls".....but as came next....."But they said, We will not walk therein".....and even this was followed by....."Also I have set watchmen over you saying, Hearken to the sound of the trumpet. But they said...We will not hearken." We should also be reading Jeremiah....as we may never have read before.
