Where Is The Instruction Going To Come From

Preface: Where is the evangelical going to find out the mistakes that this modern church of today has made? It's not going to come from the pulpits....for they are part of the problem. So where? How are they going to be informed? Their friends aren't going to tell them....for they are just as ignorant. Their days are spent almost entirely in pursuit of their own dreams. Tell me....how? The answer is that they are not going to find out....which is why I have passionately in these posts....for years.....pleaded with readers to take an hour out of their day....and listen to men like Piper and Spurgeon and J. C. Ryle and Sproul and Horton and Lloyd-Jones and Sinclair Ferguson and.....there are so many.....but you have to put in the effort. Ignorance will be no excuse....ignorance will be no excuse....for God knows where the heart's true desires have been all along.

Take any Christian man....any Christian woman.....and add the typical and acceptable pastor in America today....whether it be in evangelicalism or liberal and lost mainline or charismatic or even the more conservative denominations and pulpits.....and there will be little to no discernment on the great need for the day or the church. The power and the glory are gone from the pulpits.....and the bible studies.....and the books.....and the bookstores are even gone....so all that the Christian can do is hear about a book from an equally malnourished Christian.....(but strong on the pickle ball court).....and order it on Amazon....get it in a day....while saving a few bucks....and take about a month to read it.
They are not going to find their way out of this bog without some kind of instruction! The typical pastor may be proud as a peacock when he leaves the pulpit after the Lord's Day service....and he can keep that feeling until judgment day.....only to find that he never should have sought or accepted that vocation.....and taken on the responsibility of the eternal destiny of souls....unless he was willing to weep daily for those souls entrusted to his care.
Turn on Christian TV....forget it; try the 'religion' section at Barnes & Noble....good luck....there might be two sound books out of the thousand that are there; edifying fellowship with other believers.....take this test....talk for an hour and see if they even once mention the name of Jesus....have the same conversation with your pastor and it will be the same; read the daily chapters from your.....read the Bible in a year....gone in this program is the Holy Spirit leading you to where you need to go.....replaced by a inhibitive man-made regimen where the real goal is to proudly check off the chapters....to eventually say that you read the whole Bible in a year...regardless of anything at all even gleaned from the reading....or if it was even understood.

Addendum: Are all the pulpits like this.....all the Bible studies....all the books.....all the fellowship? Of course not. All I'm doing is shouting out to the others....'look this way!'.....'swim over this way!'....."the Rock is over here!' Shouldn't we all be doing this? This is not a time such as when David danced. It is more like when Solomon lost his wisdom and vigilance. It is a time similar to when Jeremiah and Ezekiel and Daniel were contemporaries. It is time as when Jude warned and of which John penned when on Patmos.
