How many pastors out there are not for warning their sheep about false prophets....wolves in sheep's clothing? I'm assuming that no one out there admits to that. So I take it that the above YouTube from a John MacArthur Grace To You program would be acceptable? This two-part series is from....1980 or 1981....and the above photo of a wolf in a blue suit was used in the past. It no longer is used. I wonder why? This Part One begins with the gospel itself....which is wonderful....and then concludes with the warning on false prophets. Does the term....golden age....ring a bell to you. It should! That is what we are being told that we are heading into. Do you agree with that. If not....then why do you not tell your congregations?
Update: John MacArthur took ill one year ago....and has had multiple surgeries and relapses since then. As of two days ago he had been back in the hospital for two weeks and prayers were requested that the doctors would be able to identify the problem. It is my opinion that America needs John MacArthur back in his pulpit. He is almost the last one folks....the last minister of renown other than John Piper that we have! Now there are probably hundreds of ministers whose ministries reach multitudes in America....and who the media will go to....Franklin Graham and Robert Jeffress and many others....but I'm talking about those few ministers who have obviously been set apart by God. Billy Graham is gone seven years now....R. C. Sproul a couple of months longer than that....Tim Keller....even Pat Robertson. Alistair Begg is retiring from the pulpit after the fiasco of a year ago. I have disagreed with probably the last half dozen or so issues that John MacArthur made national news with....but my prayer is that if he returns....that God will.....for our sake and God's glory....restore John MacArthur's fifty some od years defense of the gospel and magnification of the glory and majesty and sovereignty of Jesus Christ....just as before. We have no Christian bookstores anymore where we could walk in and the Holy Spirit would direct our eyes to the books that can warn and bless and teach us....and in reality we have few of those books anymore anyway. The preaching today lacks and unction...,and urgency....and an imminence. May God....in His perfect will and with His perfect wisdom....provide that which we need....whether it be those men who stand in the gap....or that He would mightily awaken those pulpits that are fast asleep.
