It is the Lord's Day morning and I have a few minutes to play with this post before preparing for church. I imagine that the Sunday comic sections of the newspapers still have this one block where you are to look over the scene and try to find the thing that is not supposed to be there. You might look for five or ten minutes and then finally see it....there are about twenty ducks in the scene....and one of them in the back is wearing glasses!
OK....here is another scene....pictured in words....and you can see if you can find the thing that should not be there. You are...."John".....and John is thirty years old or thereabouts....he has been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. His family has not. So what is wrong with the picture below?
The angels.....Satan's fallen angels....in the deepest and darkest parts of hell....are stirring....so much so that the magma deep within the earth is starting to become very volatile. Some of the volcanoes around the Pacific are forming new lava paths within them. In the cosmos....kind of like hairballs that might attract each other on the floor....various pieces of rock....some the size of a refrigerator and others the size of an aircraft carrier....seem to be appearing in large numbers in the galaxy.....and attracting each other just like the hairballs on the floor. They are coming around from the other side of the sun....and heading to our own sector of the galaxy. Fallen angels seem to be congregating around two particular men on earth....one of them a man that is empty of any in ideological beliefs at all....ready to be possessed by anything at all. Other angels are stirring up violent men on different parts of the earth.....stirring them with plans to go to war....and to kill hundreds of millions if necessary to get the power that they want. Various viruses.....one on this continent....and another on another continent...and another in a lab somewhere....are beginning to replicate. Scientists....what are left of them....many having changed professions rather than be persecuted for just doing their job....these scientists that remain are seriously worried but cannot tell anyone....for their very character will then be attacked. AI has already taken over....not only our minds....but it is taking over the economy....and none of it is good. The Los Angeles Dodgers or the Toronto Blue Jays....(I haven't read yet who won last night)....won the world series...and John is just waking up with a hangover from celebrating. Plans are on the table in Russia and China and North Korea....plans of invasions and the possible use of tactical nuclear weapons. Millions of other demons are just tormenting already weak and damaged people....urging them to go out an hurt someone....anyone.
OK....here is the answer: John is a Christian but his entire family is not. There absolutely is no stopping this world from heading into the abyss. We may not be doing it now but Christians soon will be praying fervently for our Lord Jesus to Return....and John just spent the month of October following and critiquing major league baseball....which was a slight reprieve from following and critiquing the NFL.
