"Preach The Bad News Too"

                There is a little bit of good news in this short post. I've mentioned often that all of our leading pastors on a national stage.....Billy Graham and Sproul and Keller and MacArthur and others....are gone....called home by their heavenly Father. These men were the closest thing that we had on a national level to shepherds....as God designed shepherds to be....both encouraging and warning. Combine this with the loss of local Christian bookstores....and sound Christian television and radio programming....and we are effectively lost in a maelstrom....sails still flying....but no rudder to guide us.
                 There is one man that I have come across who has the potential to stand in the gap. He is the closest thing to John MacArthur that I have heard as he has a very unique gift to phrase things....and enter into difficult topics....in a way that makes him appear as one of us....on the one hand not some scholar flaunting his seminary education....or on the other hand not some televangelist who communicates very well....but just about everything that he communicates is poison!
                   Give this man a try if you would....and see if I know what I'm talking about. Just Google anything like.....Pastor Jesse Johnson YouTube....and go from there. One other thing. John Piper has a young man on his ministry staff....desiringgod.org....whose name is Greg Morse....and over the past few years....everything that he has contributed to Desiring God Ministries....has been profound....and searing as to what we need to be seared with.
