It was a strange article but then Newt Gingrich has done some strange things over the years. I stepped up to the voting machine on November 6th, 2012 and typed in the name Newt Gingrich. I was going to leave my vote for president blank but at the last minute decided to cast a write-in for Newt.....I should have typed in Jim DeMint.
The Opinion article on Fox right now is on Emmanuel (God with us) Macron.....'Why France's Macron Is A President Worth Watching.' The last sentence in Newt's article is..."Without a doubt, Macron is a president worth watching." I would be a lot less concerned if that sentence read...."Without a doubt, Macron is a president worth watching out for."
A thought just flashed through my mind.....I love beach boardwalks and their t-shirt and hermit crab stores....I walk in in need of foot protection for the hot sand.....oh here we go....Newt Gingrich flip-flops....that's the ticket!
Emmanuel (God with us) Macron as the president of France is not good news. I watched the speech that 'God with us' gave to the French legislature and thoughts of Napoleon came to mind. I looked at the faces in the legislature and was surprised not to see any alarm. Here is a man who actually said..."I will govern like a Roman God." It's reported that he wants to have a "Jupiterian' presidency.
This from Newt in his article...."In an incredibly short time, and with little initial backing from the political establishment (really Newt...you think anti-establishment is the best description....I thought that Marine Le Pen was the anti-establishment candidate?) President Emmanuel Macron has sparked a legitimate political revolution and changed the course of his entire country." Newt...you do know that one can be floating on a raft headed for the Horseshoe Falls and change course to go over the American Falls do you not?
Newt then likens Emmanuel (God with us) Macron to Donald Trump. I see a little bit of similarity Newt but I'm sure that's not what you mean. Here is the last paragraph in Newt's article...."This relationship could be very important, with the underlying reason being very simple: If Macron can build a coalition that can essentially reset the board of French politics in a matter of 14 months, consider what he he might be able to accomplish in terms of influencing Europe as a whole."
Newt....Do your ears hear what your mouth is saying?
My take on this folks is that the White House may have sought out Newt to puff Emmanuel Macron a little bit and see how conservatives react...if they react.
