My description of Jim Rickards would be as a geopolitical strategic finance expert sought after by many governments because of his opinions and predictions. He's authored a number of books, the latest of which was The Road To Ruin: The Global Elites' Secret Plan for the Next Financial Crisis of which I wrote a post on and brought it back many times. He has a new book coming out this fall and I hope....Lord willing.....to have that delivered on the day of its release. Mr. Rickards has an article out right now on The Daily Reckoning titled China's Plan To Tank Their Own Stock Market. Here is a summary of the article.....The trade war between the United States and China has been going on since China was admitted into the World Trade Organization (WTO) in 2001. Once admitted they broke the rules and now they have a $400 billion trade surplus with us whereas it started out as $100 billion.
Rickards says that we have the advantage in this trade war in that China can only put so many tariffs on us where we can put four times as many on them. China's response has been in devaluing its own currency. They will suffer in profits with this but it will keep their social order....communist.....intact as the people will keep working. Rickards says that the United States is hoping that China will see that they are still at a great disadvantage and eventually acquiesce to more fair trade policies with us.
In Mr. Rickards previous book....The Road To Ruin....he made the statement that "sovereigns don't go down without a fight"....that they will intentionally lock down the system (the world's financial system) before they would ever cede any power to anyone else. Communism is much like this only there have been times when Communism chose to appear to retreat only to change outwardly in some ways before coming back as aggressive as ever.....for it is a dialectic.
Mr. Rickards also said that we have run out of band aids for stock market collapses. The next collapse will be the worst and that there is little anyone can do about it......for all the emergency resources and options are now gone. Back to the communist Chinese.....and Russia....and the globalists.....and Iran....(I'm giving my own opinion here....not Mr. Rickards)....they know that they are in the end-game right now. They are only allied in their opposition to us. None of them will go down without a fight....where we are simply hoping for checkmate.....but they don't play by the rules.
The general consensus is that the communist Chinese government wants to be the biggest wrestler on the mat by its 100th anniversary in 2049....but this is a ruse for it tends to make the West think that it has a lot of time left. The Chinese Party was formed in 1921....that 100 year anniversary is just around the corner....and the communist Chinese are well aware of it! it would be wiser to make our preparations in light of that.
