Robert Francis Kennedy/Robert Francis O'Rourke......Beto-short for Roberto/Bobby-short for Robert....prominent front teeth.....and a shock of dry hair combed off to the side....that's the extent of the similarities between the two men. In a couple of days it will be 51 years since RFK announced that he would challenge an incumbent president for the party nomination....(Beto announced yesterday). Eugene McCarthy was the first to challenge President Johnson and three days earlier than RFK's announcement had scored a psychological win in New Hampshire.....so his supporters charged that RFK saw the weakness of LBJ and then decided to enter the race also. RFK overcame the bitterness between the two camps but to any conservative Republicans thinking about challenging today's incumbent....they might want to do it quickly....or they will look very weak when they finally challenge four more years of a Trump administration.
Note: President Trump today said this about Beto O'Rourke's hand movements....."Is he crazy or does he just act that way.....study them and you will see for yourselves." Two things about this....with this precedent by the President it is now officially OK to ask if a politician is crazy.....also.....study the life of Donald Trump.....you will have to read some of the books on the list banned by talk radio.....and you'll see what I mean.

ALTERNATIVE....we need that primary challenger to President Trump....and we need him or her fast. What about you Senator Sasse? How about you former Attorney General Sessions? Either of you would have a small army of supporters ready to go. It is my belief that after all is said and done with these probes and investigations that President Trump will not...will not....seek the second term that he now wants. To Senator Sasse and others....you are going to look mighty weak when you decide to entire the primaries only after the toughest opponent was forced to retreat.

Two weeks previous to this Robert Kennedy announced his candidacy to challenge for the Democrat nomination. I was 18 years old at the time....standing at the counter of my favorite hangout....eating a sandwich and swigging a Pepsi....when this unexpected announcement socked the nation.

OTTO WARMBIER....President Trump is quoted here...."He (Kim Jong-un) tells me that he didn't know about it and I will take him at his word." He said that Kim Jong-un "felt badly about it. He felt very badly." He also said that he has "great respect" for Chairman Kim. Rick Santorum....in commenting on this....said "many of us who like (President Trump's) policies....don't like a lot of the things he does and says....I don't understand why the President does this..." Well Senator....let me explain that for you....only a man who has absolutely no foundational....secure....and sincere belief system whatsoever on anything even remotely related to right and wrong....and truth and untruth....could....on a regular basis.....for years on end....utter statements like this. This is the Christian's champion and bulwark for conservatives.

THE WRONG GRID....what we have been doing is judging everything on the grid of 'Obama and the Clintons were bad.....Trump is good.' Whereas in reality both Barack Obama and Donald Trump are judgments upon us from God....as He gave the Left exactly what they wanted in Barack Obama.....and then gave us exactly what we wanted in Donald Trump. If we conservatives were anywhere near humbling ourselves before God after eight years of Obama and the threat of Clinton for four more....Donald Trump yanked us out of that doldrum. He was the power answer. We were taken in by visions of great economic success.....oblivious to the fact that all of this can disappear in a day. We are being driven into the abyss today....chaos rules everywhere....primarily because the present grid that we view everything on is defective.

VENEZUELA.....here is a quote from Andrew McCabe's book The Threat...."Then the president talked about Venezuela. That's the country we should be going to war with, he said. They have all that oil and they're right on our back door." President Trump would deny the quote....this we know....so I would hope that the media would pressure McCabe for names of those who were present.

GOOD COP....BAD COP: Friends....Christian brothers and sisters....President Trump and the Republican elites are playing us with a form of 'good cop...bad cop.' Good cop (Trump) stabs us in the back for the umpteenth time....Bad Cop (Ryan....McConnell et al) get all the blame....then they all yuk it up together over how easy we are to fool. Yes they are odd bedfellows but President Trump has melded well into the establishment mold. Folks....they just need you for another six months or so.....until Donald Trump is guaranteed his second nomination....then as President Trump himself might say...."it's off to the races."

AND WE DID NOT SPEAK OUT: It has been only two years so far of this gut-wrenching contorted confusion and chaos as Donald Trump stumbles along on his own kicking cans down the street. Imagine six more years of this! Imagine six more years of Ivanka and Jared! We and we alone will be responsible for the ascendance of Ivanka and Jared on the world's stage should it happen....for we said nothing! The day after President Trump would win reelection....he would have absolutely no need for us....not even for Rush and Sean and Mark.

SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVIL......I had not as of yet heard it played until the El Paso rally.....the Rolling Stones Sympathy For The Devil. Surely there were many Christians in that arena. I tried to see if there was a reaction from the crowd but I'm watching the backs of their heads. I did sense a sudden sobriety....maybe even a little shock.....or maybe I was imagining it.

THE GREAT LATINO REVIVAL....AND THE BUILDING OF A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL WALL.....God at times moves in marvelous and wondrous ways through the glorious gospel of Jesus Christ within peoples and within nations such as America in the early 18th century.....and Wales....and Scotland.....and Pyongyang in the early 20th century.....yes Pyongyang! And there have been many more great revivals. Should His Spirit move mightily over the Latino population in America in such a way....you would see a wall built by both parties so fast it would make your head spin. Neither Party as it now stands wants more actual Bible believing Christians in our nation or in their party....but may God do this should it be His will. May His Spirit move upon all of our hearts in ways that bring Him glory! By the way....should God act in such a way then there would then no longer be a Trump Party and its Make America Great Again agenda. There is irony here also for if God's Spirit were to move across this land like the wind over wheatfields....then many in our Congress themselves would humble themselves before God....and rejoice in a Savior they previously did not even know they were in need of!
