How Should We Pray For President Trump

"We are WINNING big, the envy of the WORLD, but just think what it could be?"

That was the end of a tweet from the President just a few hours ago. Who outside of America in their right mind would want their country to be like ours is right now....as the big question is what's going to get us first....a Bolshevik revolution or a civil war? The President is referring strictly to economic statistics....but therein is the problem....he can't think of anything outside of that arena. Yet the national debt is nothing to him?
I never heard Michael Cohen's voice until the hearing last Wednesday. It wasn't very impressive was it? This is who Donald Trump hired as his personal lawyer. Cohen....whether he meant to or not....gave a clear message to the Republicans on the panel that he knows Trump because he's just like Trump. He was then hammered for saying among other things that Donald Trump is a man who harms people....who gets revenge. Have Congressmen Jordan and Meadows forgotten how President Trump threatened them over the fake Obamacare repeal and replace bill of 2017?
We are not winning....we are losing....big time....as any successes are overwhelmed in our increasing distresses. Our egregious failure in not humbling ourselves before God who has given us everything we have....and who has warned us for decades....has resulted in Him withdrawing His protective hand...."So I gave them over to their stubborn hearts, to follow their own counsels" (Psalm 81:12)
Tomorrow morning at 9:30 AM Rasmussen will release it's daily presidential approval tracking poll. It's been holding at 49% 'yes' and 49% 'no' for a few weeks now. The approval ratings in all the other polls are lower but Rasmussen polls every weekday which makes it valuable in its consistency.
Where will it be tomorrow after President Trump's two hour CPAC speech? I imagine that it will be right where it has been. The missile of Michael Cohen has been shot out of the air. It never landed in the minds of conservatives. The CPAC speech by all rights should have been to disturbing to everyone....but then the last two years of tweets should be disturbing enough. Without conservative talk radio, Donald Trump's support would have withered up long ago. These hosts take pride in that today....but may regret it tomorrow when they see what they failed to see.
Here are my concerns: Whatever your thoughts on the legitimacy of the two probes....it seems highly unlikely that President Trump's administration will not be seriously damaged....if it survives at all. That's my thought on this....and I lived through the Watergate mess....as an adult....and this is so much worse. So although I've hoped for someone to challenge President Trump in the primaries.....for we have to do that....I in no way think that he will be the nominee in 2020....if we can even get there as a nation without an upheaval....if not multiple upheavals. That is how  combustibly volatile things are on so many fronts right now.
We have brought all of this down upon our own heads. Cohen looked at the Republicans on the panel and almost shouted....admitting that he himself had started this whole thing. How (?)....by doing what they are doing now....blindly protecting President Trump. I'll bet you didn't hear that clip on conservative radio. Well we ourselves brought all these judgments upon us. We are to blame. I'm to blame. Step by step over many decades we dallied in our entertainments and thought only of ourselves as these Marxists and anarchists slipped in to tear apart our heritage....and now is seems that almost half of our own citizens "do not know their right hand from their left." (Jonah 4:11) We contributed to this cultural collapse whether we admit to it or not. So should we be praying for Donald Trump? Of course....but in its proper perspective....that being praying for mercies upon an extraordinarily fallible man....leading an extraordinarily fallible people.

Note: I hope to post the new Rasmussen numbers about 9:35 tomorrow morning.

Update: 47% 'yes'....51% 'no'
