The following was first posted about a week before the midterm:
It wasn't that long ago that conservative talk radio was up one side of the Republican establishment and down the other. Today it's just about three solid hours for every host....ordering us to go out and vote for these same Republicans in two weeks....telling us to bring five others with us....and berating us if we're not super-motivated. Well this is normal. I really can't argue with it as I'll be casting my vote at the polls as usual....Lord willing....but it misses what is most important! It seems that all races are close nowadays so that last minute push can win some elections......but even a huge Republican landslide would change nothing as to God's judgment coming to America....and the world....and this is what we miss....nor would nine Antonin Scalias on the high court stay God's hand....for He has warned us for longer than I have been alive. The message is no longer Jonah's....you've got forty days to repent.....it's now Nahum's....judgment is coming!
Inherent in the whole concept of democratic elections and representative government is self-rule and self-autonomy. We may not admit it as such but we believe that we are masters of our own fate.

This poem has been referenced in movies and books....in Parliament and probably Congress. It was the Oklahoma City bomber's written statement at his execution. Only it does matter how strait the gate! It boils down to a question and not an election that will determine how America will deal with....and will be dealt with....by God....in the coming days. That question is....who do we say that Jesus is?
So it's not who Americans will vote in power....but who do they say that Jesus is? Well.... phrases like 'God bless America'.....'In God We Trust'....we mention God a lot....mostly in curse words.....but often not. The book of Matthew describes our predicament....Jesus then looked at Peter.....(as He is looking at you right now.....and looking at President Trump....and looking at me)....."But who do you say that I am?" You are not answering me....and I'm not answering you....will you turn your attention away from this post for a moment and look to Him who cannot be fooled....and answer that question? This is what will determine the course of America in the turbulent judgment ahead. Peter's answer was...."You are the Christ, The Son of the Living God."
