This is a Soviet purge and show trials that we are experiencing in America. For years we conservatives thought that it would be the Clintons or the Obamas that would get us....but it turned out to be the one that we ourselves elected....as our fear of God became fear of the Democrats....which morphed into a fear of not having Trump to save us....but is being replaced now in Washington and Congress by a fear of Trump himself if you want to keep your job. Fellow conservatives....you are building a monster....all for filthy lucre....which will rust away before you even get a chance to spend it.
Update: One thousand nine-hundred and fifty-six...(so far)...former DOJ and FBI officials have signed a petition for AG Barr to resign....the reason....doing the President's bidding over working for the public interest.
This has been bothering me for quite a while. Robert Mueller is an honorable man. He barely offered an opinion during his testimony in the congressional hearing. ....preferring to let facts speak for themselves....as if there is anyone out here anymore who actually thinks through tough issues. In a previous age this may have worked. They took advantage of this and hammered him unmercifully. Here is a man with a very distinguished record in Vietnam....and throughout his life....in direct contrast to Donald Trump. Why veterans and military personal support Donald Trump I do not know. Anyway....I Googled....'Robert Mueller needs to speak out'....to see if anyone else felt as I do.....that it is time for Mueller and others to take the offensive. There was an article that you can read by Googling....'law & crime....calls for Mueller to speak out.'
There's a scene from Ted Turner's Gettysburg where Brigadier General John Buford, played by Sam Elliot, scans rocky heights and farm land that would in one day become a battlefield and he literally spews out these words as he foresees carnage in the Union army if the politicians and generals play their war games as usual, "....afterwards men in tall hats and gold watch fobs will thump their chests and say 'what a brave charge it was' "....and then he adds...."I've never seen anything as brutally clear as this.... It's as if I can actually see the blue troops in one long bloody moment....as if it were already done....as if tomorrow already happened and there ain't nothin you can do about it..." I've experienced a similar 'as if it's already done' moment....and it concerns where we Republicans are going in our rabid unthinking support for the reelection of a president. Stoked and agitated and primed primarily by talk radio we are building into an army. Not an army like we once had....where we were determined and patient....but an army of true believers....feeding on power....instead of truth. We are now being indoctinated in the General Flynn case to believe that the whole Russia probe was criminal and fake. We believe anything they tell us. Limbaugh and the others are duped every bit as much as we are....and more. This man in the White House is a delusion that we have fallen for. My prayer every day is....that I mention so often here in these posts...."Lord open our eyes to this man....even if only the eyes of your children!"
They....bouyed by William Barr's deceptive claim of neutrality in his nomination hearings....have since successfully covered up the Russia probe....but President Trump....in his arrogance and lack of wisdom....is bringing it back every chance he has....to get revenge on those who did not bow down to him. My advice....take this opportunity....to go over the whole Russia concerns again....from the beginning! The primary issue should never have been 'James Bond' meetings of campaign aides and Putin agents....but rather decades of a highly susceptible to kompromat bon vivant....questions as to why Russian entities labored so to help the Trump campaign....and various issues such as the consequent attempts to weaken NATO which has been one of Putin's goals....these things along with odd Trump/Putin meetings....the content of which he has said is none of our business....and a meeting in Finland with only interpreters present.
May 8: I'm rereading some of the Trump/Russia books. It is amazing how many FBI investigations were going on as early as the 80s on the burgeoning Russian Mafiya influence in America. The FBI knew there was a big problem here. Russia was not a new or a passing fancy to Trump. He eventually tried to finagle a deal for a tower in Moscow....but that having fallen through saw an easier path in selling luxury apartments to the new oligarchs and billionaires from the collapsed Eastern bloc. In many ways he was the perfect patsy for these people trying to launder enormous sums of ill-gotten monies. He was on his way....through extraordinary circumstances.....with too many ties to these people.....and with the help of Russian entities....to becoming the President of the United States. You had better not only believe but hope your FBI is investigating something like this....mistakes and everything.
What we are seeing right now in the news is the results of Donald Trump's unhealthy lifelong well-documented passion to get revenge. He would do something like this on anyone in America....and on any country of the world....and he now has his loyal people....such as Grenell....Nunes....Ratcliffe and others....who will do whatever he wants. We think that we are building a stronger reelection campaign....but we are continuing our construction of a 'strongman' whose ego and arrogance will lead to conflagrations.
The President responded to former President Bush’s call for some kind of unity on the virus by criticizing him for not speaking out against the greatest ‘hoax’ in history....the Russia probe. Not only was it not a hoax....it is still out there to read about. The only way one can think of this as a hoax is if all the investigative books on Trump's decades long history with Russians are ignored....and considered fake news....as we are told to consider them fake news. I'll list just two books here on Russia....what you would see is Donald Trump dealing closely with many Russians tied into either the Kremlin or the Russian Mafiya or both....for decades....where they used Trump to launder their money....and Trump happily complied....as with Manafort and others....not caring in the slightest who he works with....and the FBI investigated these people all the time. They never charged Trump with anything but surely they knew what type of person he is....and when he played around over the years with running for President they ignored it....but when he popped up as a serious candidate it grabbed their attention. So yes....I'm sure they broke rules. If this type of thing were in a movie we were watching we would cheer the FBI....but since it's the man who somehow has mesmerized us....we want the FBI agents in jail!

To those of us who have read extensively on the entire life of Donald Trump....he has never changed....nor ever matured. There was a time when as one of the richest men in America....he would call the media.....and assume another name....to tell them how even richer Donald Trump was than they thought....(and these were lies and exaggerations)....this so that they would report it as such. He hasn't changed. The only ones who have changed are we evangelicals. We may often have the right candidates today....but we definitely have the wrong savior.

In one tweet he said that what Republicans love best about him is the...."252 (so far) Federal Judges, not including two great Supreme Court Justices. A big record!" Those are our judges Mr. President...we worked for them for decades while you were more interested in taking people's money in casinos and in television shows and Miss Universe Pageants. You applied for the job at an opportune time....we gave it to you...(any one of the others would have done the same thing on these appointments....and we would have had the same economy boosting 'deregs' and corporate tax drop))....and while you backtracked on a lot of things....there was no way you could not appoint sound judges.

Even Pat Robertson's CBN seems to be onboard with the 'punish China' vigilantes. We created the monster of communist China....and now we think that we might just be able to uncreate them....as if world wars are a thing of the past. The coronavirus would be nothing compared to another world war....but we just want to not pay our trillion dollar debt....a debt that our lack of wisdom brought about to begin with. Mike Pompeo....as reported by CBN....wondered why China would not act immediately when they first found out about the virus. He wondered....."maybe it was ignorance....or some other reason?" Well....maybe it was because Donald Trump wanted to make what he bragged was...."the greatest economy in the history of the world".....even greater....and build up his fame even more in the process? We took a risk with the tariff war....for a few dollars more....and now we wonder why the Chinese communists didn't warn us right away so that our economy wouldn't be crushed? Where were our intelligence agencies in all of this? Weren't they at least advising the President that there are consequences of some sort to all actions? Oh I forgot....he doesn't trust our intelligence agencies. They are the enemy....or were the enemy....before he put his less experienced people in there. Folks....I don't know if it happened this way....but I know that it could have.
Christians....I'd like you to look at just one of the serious psychological disorders of the man you think that God gave us to save us....and just one of many well-documented examples of it. This from billionaire Richard Branson who said that he met Donald Trump once in the 1990s and the encounter shook him up. Trump was struggling financially at the time and apparently he asked help from five people who refused. Trump told Branson how his life's mission would be to destroy these five men. The headline right now on Fox is...."Trump calls for 'dirty cops' to pay 'big price' for Russia probe." This is a sick man folks....and he is dealing with the likes of China and Putin and Iran.
