Preface: The following post is from October 12 of last year.Since then we had that amazing total solar eclipse a little over a month ago on April 8. This weekend the sun's activity is producing a geometric storm giving displays on earth that if you Google it right now you will see words such as...."dazzling" and "awe and wonder"...."surreal"....and I've even seen "biblical" in one eye witness testimony. Luke....in his version of the Olivet Discourse describes signs that we will see before Jesus returns as....this in chapter 21 verse 11....ESV...."there will be great earthquakes, and in various places famines and pestilences....(COVID for example)....and there will be terrors and great signs from heaven." Jesus summed this all up in Matthew's version of the Olivet Discourse with....this chapter 24 verse 25...."See, I have told you beforehand."
This Is Not Rocket Science
The Feast of Tabernacles....or Sukkot....is one of the three Torah commanded festivals. I was talking to a Jewish friend a couple of weeks ago before Yom Kippur....and she said said that their big celebration was a few days later....that being Sukkot. A member of our family had talked to her on Saturday morning....the day their week of celebrating was ending....and the day that would become the darkest day in Israel's history in this modern age. The attack in Israel was just about to begin. The following italicized paragraphs were posted on July 29, 2020.
In a few hours from now....(about 1:40 ET)....the sun will set in Jerusalem....beginning the ninth day of the Hebrew calendar month of....Av....the Ninth of Av....Tisha B'AV....traditionally a day of mourning......because of the many disasters incurred by the Jews over the millennia....including the destruction of both temples. The Roman destruction of Herod's Temple reportedly collapsed the price of gold in Rome because the precious metal became so common.
The dates of the future feasts of Israel are always only a click away for me or anyone who feels that surely major prophetic events will occur on these days. This isn't date setting for we do not know the years....but we do know that God's future plans for the Jewish people will most likely revolve around their feasts. To prognosticate on this is more than problematic....but to ignore it is being careless to God's warnings to us.
To a somewhat lesser degree I always pay attention to blood moons and lunar and solar eclipses. The much ballyhooed tetrad of 2014/2015 was unique in that all four blood moons took place on Jewish holidays. The world had taken on a new look since that tetrad. Donald Trump was born on a blood moon on June 14, 1946....and came down the escalator in the middle of that tetrad. I was born during a tetrad....and so were you if you were born between April 13, 1949 and September 26, 1950. I am often out in the street or up on a high hill to observe rare or interesting celestial sights. This Saturday....two days from today.....around 3 in the afternoon Eastern Time I believe....we will in the east see a partial solar eclipse. Out west they will see a Ring of Fire annular solar eclipse.
