Recognizing Israel as the newest state in the community of nations as the United States did under President Truman on May 14th, 1948 and recognizing Jerusalem as its capitol as President Trump did yesterday should not both be placed within God's proclamation of "...I will bless those who bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee..."
In the former....God was regathering a people who He had dealt harshly with....and this for a purpose as it relates to their eventual repentance and His final judgment of the world....in the latter it relates to God's judgment on both the United States and the secular state of Israel.....both of whom have rejected God and sought their security in their own power and might.
Blessing Israel right now.....one secular nation to another.....involves treating them fairly not only as a legitimate nation but as an ally. The United States under George H. W. and George W. Bush blessed Israel in limiting and then eliminating an immediate terrorist enemy in Saddam Hussein. Barack Obama cursed Israel in enabling an even more dangerous enemy in Iran. Donald Trump did nothing of substance in blessing Israel by formally acknowledging Jerusalem as Israel's capitol.
To my evangelical brethren.....God could care less what city Israel calls its capitol.....Jerusalem is Jerusalem to him....capitol or not....and He takes absolutely no pleasure in the Masonic architecturally designed, obelisk and near-temple structured fetid swamp of our capitol with its hideously designated Washington National Cathedral as our 'National House of Prayer.' He has placed a hook in the mouths of Israel's enemies. Populist President Donald Trump is but a world leader placed where he is for a particular purpose.....a purpose that the evangelical misconstrues as making America great again.
