Conservatives are primarily radio people. Whether in the car on the way to work, or at work if possible, or at home. Take me for example....I have never seen Morning Joe or Mika....only knew who Matt Lauer was from his occasional appearances on Dateline.....really have no idea what a game of thrones is.....and my television has only been on once on a Sunday in the last thirty years and that was somewhat of an emergency situation. That's called freedom folks!
It's entirely possible that both of my grandfathers were in the building on November 2nd 1920 at dinnertime when KDKA radio in Pittsburgh began election returns in what was America's first commercial radio broadcast....this from the roof of the Westinghouse Electric Building in East Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.....for both men worked for Westinghouse......on the floor......in the dirt and the grime.
Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Mark Levin, Glenn Beck, Michael Savage and a few others piloted this fleet through storms and tempests and Steve Bannon came along to pilot the newly cristened USS Donald Trump into harbor....crashing it into the dock sending all the Democrat and Republican chain gang big boss men who were on their way back from a cruise ship junket to Hades to the floor....and they 're still staggering around.
These ship captains, so to speak, have since, one by one lost their sea legs. Rush has been worthless the entire year.....Hannity not much better.......and Levin lagging of late. Bannon went on to serve on the Admiralty and was replaced by Alex Marlowe who did a yeoman's job of actually bringing the callers into the conversation but Bannon was booted out of the Admiralty....he in turn booted out Marlow who is now selling trinkets is the ship's store.....and now we have no one piloting these ships.....they're all down in the bilge working on getting the pumps running, when they should let others do that while they gather their charts, set a new course and set about getting this fleet out of port.
Leaders delegate responsibility but they won't do that to us. Do they really think that we are going to sit back while a virtual coup is taking place? Do they think that we don't don't know what this mainstream media is? I'll tell you what we don't know. We don't know what Communism is....and apparently they don't either!
Right now....at this moment in time....there are precious few genuine conversations or intellectual debate or mental exercises on conservative talk radio. It's all take notes and memorize the daily mantra. Rush is cheerleading.....Hannity's been giving a six-month defense summation......Levin is just yelling at everyone......and Bannon's show is like an infomercial or PBS self-help seminar.
Gentlemen....Ladies....of conservative talk radio....you adequately lectured....and taught.....your listening audience on Russian collusion and an assortment of other issues for the entire year. You have zeroed in on the dupes instead of the masterminds.You are being played.....we have got Paul Manafort and Gloria Allred in our dreams, and still not a clue as to what is behind all of this. Here's a bit of advice. Read Paul Kengor's The Politically Incorrect Guide To Communism. It won't tax your mind. It's like a month of sports pages. You will then have an idea of what has gone on and be able to actually help your audience once again. It's time to tell us just exactly what the term 'the Left' means.
