The United States had for eighty years been considered the leader of the free world. It was an exalted and well-deserved position....and with the position comes the responsibilities of noblesse oblige....in other words we were giving something that we neither expected nor demanded anything in return for. We did not have to accept this mantle....and there were some of us that did not want it....but it was part of who we were as a people.
Donald Trump his whole life has been as far from noblesse oblige as the east is to the west. Not only has he always wanted every penny that was due him....but he wanted more. There is a new book out right now....a typical current events type of book....that is an expose of sorts on the Biden presidency....and I've seen a couple of articles on it on Fox News....(the Fox Internet...we do not nor have we ever had Fox or any of the other news cables in our home.) So we on our side will read this book or any books like this on Joe Biden....the extreme hypocrisy is that over the past decade....with at least a hundred quality and informative books out there on who this Donald Trump was....(I know because I've read a hundred of them)....not only would we on our side never read them....but on instructions from Trump himself....talk radio went out of its way to tell us how these books....and all books like them....are fake news....from a fake news media.
Our inspector generals are always good....and their inspector generals are all bad. Our whistleblowers are always honest and noble....while their whistleblowers are always corrupt and paid off. I remember getting out of the army in September of 1972....and my first habit was to go to the local Village Dairy on every Sunday morning....and read cover to cover....along with all the inserts....the Sunday New York Times. And while student working at Pitt's Hillman Library....in the periodical section....I read Time and Newsweek and U.S. News and World Report every week. Over the past forty-some years I was lost on those few days that did not begin with the morning newspaper....and usually two morning newspapers. I remember many days on vacation at the beach....walking a mile or two until I found a paper. So I am here to say to you that Fox News Internet right now is far worse than CNN or NBC or the New York Times ever was. You are not getting news here....you are only getting totally political one-sided propaganda.
In a few short weeks Trump had overturned the defense of America along with the defense of the West. He has....as of now....destroyed solid and valuable alliances. He has divided and destroyed....for he is the all-time chief divider and destroyer.
The first step back is to admit that we made mistakes. To the true Christian readers and visitors out there....we may have a lot of conflicting opinions and ideas and even doctrinal beliefs....but we are one....and when God lifts the fog....we will see that! May we learn valuable lessons even in what we are going through right now....and may we use our time wisely....for the days are surely coming....and are here now....when delusion is everywhere.
Note: Trump announced today that he is planning a military parade for his birthday....June 14. This is something that North Korea does. There will be no blood moon this June 14 as there was on the day that he was born....June 14, 1946. One report....it may or may not be accurate....is that it will cost $92 million.
