The last words of the traditional Passover Seder have been...."Next year in Jerusalem"....probably with an exclamation point....but they are in Jerusalem now....or could go there....so most Jewish people have probably changed the meaning to fit the words. My weekly prayer....for more than a decade anyway....has been...."Next Lord's Day at the cross!" Meaning to me....may God's Spirit move mightily on this coming Lord's Day....if it be in His perfect will....tomorrow in this instance....as He has in the past....as the wind bends the stalks of wheat....ladening them with grain so that they are no longer able to so proudly stand up tall! Please pray this with me....that tomorrow....men in the pulpits will say words that they did not prepare for....words that come to them from God's Spirit....that might awaken us....and open our eyes....and encourage us....and strengthen us....all to the glory of God alone!
