Cryptocurrency and the Mark of the Beast.....Trump long ago said that he wanted to make the United States the crypto capital of the planet. A regulatory bill was signed into law today....July 18. Trump has made hundreds of millions of dollars this year alone on digital currency. There could not be a 'mark of the beast' method of currency with money as we have always known it. Digital currencies lay the groundwork for buying and selling by whatever this mark turns out to be. Taking this one step further....keep it in mind that it is Trump who is pushing this....the same Trump who evangelicals essentially put into office....who came out early this year with his second inauguration...."conquering....and to conquer."
Netanyahu's foot faults....The Israeli Prime Minister needs the support of as many Americans that he can get....and constantly praising Donald Trump is not the way to get that support....for we know who Trump is....and Netanyahu only knows who he wants him to be. He has to defer to American presidents of both parties....but there is line that he should not touch with Trump. In tennis it would be a foot fault
Be Careful What You Ask For....It's ironic that Marco Rubio began his op-ed with a Winston Churchill quote...."There is only one thing worse than fighting with allies, and that is fighting without them." Rubio went on to say that if Churchill were alive today that he would rest easier because Trump made the NATO/US alliance stronger than it has been in decades. Marco Rubio long ago drank the Kool-Aid. Yes...yes....Europe has upped its percentage on defense spending....and yes....that is what Trump purportedly demanded...but this not only had nothing to do with strengthening the alliance....and everything to do with GDP...and therefore Trump's personal goals....but his long-standing dislike of NATO is a carbon copy of Putin's long-standing hatred of NATO. In other words...Putin is thrilled that the NATO/US alliance is hanging by a thread....and probably not happy that Trump is being forced into a corner of possibly having to defend NATO again....and Trump is probably not happy about that either.
Show Trials.... The Democrats have always approached the Russia/Trump investigation and aftermath from the wrong direction. Trump had a lot of dealings with Russians beginning in the 80s....and particularly after the Soviet Union collapsed....as he was selling luxury condos to Oligarchs....who would use them to essentially launder money made after the collapse. Trump was also prime....primo....Russian Kompromat material. So this man was going to be a major party nominee for president. It would have been criminal for Comey and others....not....not to have moved fast to see how deep these Russia/Trump connections were. Add to this that since becoming President of the United States he has been an ally of Putin! He began his attacks on NATO decades ago....and now with Putin's war on the Ukraine....he is trying his best to pacify him. I've read most of the books that these men....Comey and the others....have written on what went on....and they have a good case. These are expected to be show trials....but Trump may be going to the well one time too many on this....as he needs something right now because of the Epstein fiasco.
The Expendables....Hegseth and Bondi are on the hotseat....some say with their jobs on the line....because they did things without telling the president. These two do not do anything without a direct order from the president. They and a lot of others were chosen for their positions because they won't balk at what is required of them to do. We went through four years of this stuff already....and it winds up in testimony under oath....where they claim executive privilege....or refuse to answer a congressional subpoena.
Churches Can Now Endorse Political Candidates.... Donald Trump campaigned the first time on getting rid of the Johnson Amendment that could possibly be used against churches that entered in any way the political arena....and then for a few years after becoming president he just outright lied and said in just about every rally that he got rid of the Johnson Amendment....when Congress was the only one who could do that. The amendment itself had been a moot point for a long time....and the Johnson Amendment is still there....but today....July 8, 2025....Trump's IRS announced that its new interpretation of the Johnson Amendment would not threaten churches that entered politics. Evangelicals no doubt will celebrate this kept promise....sort of kept promise....even though it's a little late in coming....but this is not good news because it is a Pandora's Box....that can open up so many problems that I could not even list in a short DISPATCHES post.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu...."He's forging peace, as we speak, in one country, in one region after another. So, I want to, present to you, Mr. President, the letter I sent to the Nobel Prize Committee; It's nominating you for the Peace Prize, which is well deserved, and you should get it." Those are the words of the Israeli Prime Minister to President Donald Trump! We might also want to keep in mind Revelation 6:2...and also Daniel 9:27....and 1 Thessalonians 5:3.
EPSTEIN....This is way down the list of importance....but the way that the DOJ and FBI are handling it is of importance. Six years after his death....they release a video of part of the corridor of a jail....and to top this....Bondi says that she was misled about there being a list. What is important here is the sheer boldness that they throw stuff like this out....and probably correctly expect MAGA to just believe anything they tell them!
ICE....There was way too much money given to this agency....and way too many agents....with way too much power....and way too many horror stories....at the direction of a man who is way too unbalanced....and has way too many soulless and conscienceless yes-men....leading way too many people who for some reason have lost all compassion and common sense!
On The More Weightier Issues...Evangelicals today are celebrating Supreme Court rulings on LGBTQ and judicial parameters....thinking that the path they have taken pleases God....but on the more weightier issues such as love for their neighbor....taking care of the widows and the poor and the alien in their midst....and worshiping God in spirit and in truth....it has been a failure.
This Man Is No Peacemaker....I was watching a news clip today....an interview with the United States Ambassador to NATO....a man whose name was all over Trump's first term as a loyalist. He was all smiles as he proclaimed Trump to be a...."peacemaker"....who had already stopped many wars. This was on Fox so that incorrect statement will be believed....and passed on. Trump is not a peacemaker between Israel and Iran. He stopped Israel from ending the terrorism coming from Iran....and is giving Iran new life. He is not a peacemaker with his demands for a Gaza ceasefire. He wants to stop Israel from once and for all eliminating Hamas. He will do the same thing to anyone in this whole world....for he has no ideology. Everything is a deal. He would dump the Ukraine in a minute. He has already dumped NATO. My message to Christians is that....he is going to dump you....us....eventually. He will dump any friends or allies if they turn on him....which means that they stop bowing to him. He would dump Rubio or any of them. He would dump the MAGA people if he saw a better deal somewhere else.
Thrown Under The Omnibus....Trump wants the 'obliterated' determination to be the final report on Iran's nuclear program....and he wants a ceasefire in Gaza now....because he has more important things to work on....that being making America great again. Israel's security does not even enter into the equation. The Republican Party is totally and absolutely gone as far as wisdom and integrity and any resemblance to what it was at one time. The poor and the elderly and the disabled and the alien in our midst....have been thrown under the bus. Evangelicalism is gone also. The shepherds have run for the hills. God has left us to our own means....and we are reaping what we have sowed. All of us are under the firm and abusive control of the leader of the cult.
Conjure....To Summon A Spirit....Right now this tabloid personality in the White House and his expert negotiator who probably never read a political science book in his life....are conjuring up....(and that is a perfect word to use....conjuring)....ways to get Iran to the negotiating table. One idea is freeing 8 billion of Iran's restricted money in European banks....for them to build a nuclear power plant. Netanyahu must be walking around like Samson after getting up off of Delilah's lap. That money....and the other 30 billion they are thinking of getting for Iran....would be used first for sponsoring terrorism.
Cruise Down The River Styx....If you are around 40 years old....an adult for say twenty years....then the last ten years of your short twenty year adulthood had been a graphic novel...TV reality show....tabloid....true crime....seedy stateroom cruise down the River Styx. You have never experienced the America that once was....even in its last few decades....and you have never experienced the gospel as a mainstay in the church....or preaching that mortifies man and glorifies God. Read Daniel 9....and see what a prayer for national repentance is supposed to sound like.
Obama Never Transformed us....Trump Did....I had posted critically on President Obama for the eight straight years of his two terms....for he made it known that he would like to "fundamentally transform" America....but at no point during those eight years did I feel that we had changed in any fundamental way....nor did I feel isolated from my own country. On the other hand....Trump has already fundamentally changed America....a totally new and unrecognizable America that feels it needs no friends....trusting now in its gold and silver and military hardware....of which God has told us that these are broken cisterns....and do not come to Him when in trouble....but go to the gods that we have now.
Hillbilly Elegy....On J. D. Vance....he fooled a lot of people with his book....turns out that there is not a lot of substance there....and a lot that is very problematic. Today he described....(certainly not on his own but either Trump or Miller told him what to say)....an evolving Trump Foreign Policy. The first thing was...."define an American interest." The difference here and what other presidents would consider to be American interests is that this administration cannot see the value in allies. The second point was to "negotiate aggressively to achieve that interest." In Trump's case that essentially means threaten. The third point in this evolving Trump doctrine is...."use overwhelming force if necessary." The not-so-hidden problem here is that this 'doctrine' is not only on foreign policy but also domestic and political and personal.
This Is How It happened Before....It is difficult to assess the makeup of ICE....Immigration and Customs Enforcement. I would think that they are typical professional-minded Americans seeking a career....in service to their country....and that may indeed be the case....but I also would think that there would be some inner turmoil when called upon to rush into a Mexican restaurant....and take away the workers....or to take a man off of his lawn mower....and send him back to his country....where he may not even have such employment. What bothers me most when I look at what is going on....is that Germany in the 1930s and Russia both before and after the Bolshevik Revolution....and many other authoritarian governments....have had and still have what amounts to their own personal armies....or their dictatorial leader's own personal army. No we are not there yet....but Trump is only a signature away from a new enforcement agency....enforcing whatever he might want to enforce.
Ten Years Of God's Judgment....It has been ten years....today....since Trump came down that escalator. It has also been ten years of God's judgment on us! That includes Biden and his four years. Deny it if you want....but that's the norm when God judges his people. Read Malachi and see how many times the people would say in response to God's accusations....Us? When did we ever do anything like that?
A 'Falling Away' would come first....We all know....anyone who reads at all into prophecy....that there is a falling away at the end....a falling away of the church. We do not know the specifics right now....but I want to reiterate something that I titled a post with back in April....and it is this...."If this is not that....falling away....(meaning evangelicals and Trump)....then it is a good imitation!
Did Something Catastrophic Happen During That Blood Moon Tetrad? The following is from an earlier DISPATCHES post: "There were at least three major book publications at the time of the 2014/2015 tetrad of total lunar eclipses....or blood moons. The first by Mark Biltz. The second by John Hagee....and the third by Mark Hitchcock. Most but not all of the articles written at the time indicated that the tetrad was a sign of a major catastrophe....of some sort....in the world. When the tetrad passed and there was no war or pandemic or any other major catastrophe....the blood moon theory was considered to be bunk....and forgotten. In May of 2022 I first mentioned that something extraordinary did indeed happen during the 2014/2015 blood moon tetrad....that being that Donald Trump came down that escalator and proceeded to take America by storm. I've also mentioned a number of times that Trump was born on a blood moon on June 14....1946. Tetrads are not all that uncommon. There are 8 scheduled in this century.....but then again....there were none from 1600 to 1900. There is a lot more to the rarity of that particular tetrad than merely there being a tetrad....and you can easily read about all of that if you do not already know it. It also should be noted that a solar eclipse occurred in the middle of that tetrad....and it should be noted....indeed NASA noted it....that all four blood moons of 2014/2015 were visible in all or parts of America. So in summation....something did happen during that 2014/2015 tetrad....repeating it here....Donald Trump began his quest that is still dominating America and the world!"
